Quite regular pub and dining couple and always happy with food. However today the Lasagne was not very well presented neither did it come with the garlic bread as indicated on the menu. The dish was a very runny sauce with no signs of the nice grilling of the cheese on top. In fact any cheese had melted inside the sauce that's how runny it was. We asked about the garlic bread only to be told it only comes with chips or salad at the moment. Sorry but garlic bread clearly stated on the menu. Don't know if this dish is down to an individual chef or are batches made like that? Visited 16th March between 3.30 and 5.30pm Not one to moan but this wasn't up to normal standard.

Fantastic breakfast and views

We stayed one night.It is a very convenient location with lovely views.the room was clean. Breakfast was excellent and nothing was too much trouble e.g having a poached egg instead of a fried egg. The breakfast hosts were very friendly ,chatty and welcoming .Unfortunately the same could not be said of the two people that dealt with our arrival.We were not made to feel welcomed and when we later had a query they were not particularly helpful. The cleanliness and the friendly atmosphere at breakfast and the excellent food will mean that we will stay there again.

We turned up without a booking and we’re welcomed. We were seated and served. 3 meals came and were piping hot and were throughly enjoyed. Staff are great. Call in here if passing but book if during busy times (summer, Easter, Christmas) not to be disappointed.

Busy but still quality

We were on our way home and decided to stop at the Lamb and Flag. Not been in since before Covid, it was a good place to eat. Tonight we had not booked, but given a table, the place soon filled up with diners. Even though it was busy, the atmosphere was relaxed. The meals were very good and hot. Service was maintained. Staff were polite and cheery.

No a fan of the new menu

Been going to the lamb and flag for a long time, today went for their new menu, must say not a fan. The old menu was much better, more choice for my family ( who are very picky eaters) Staff and service was fab as always Won’t be returning for. While I don’t think Bring back the old menu!
