If you want somewhere out of town, peaceful, quiet and relaxing this is it. It is no frills, rooms are comfortable and the owners are,pleasant. Good location for rain into Rome takes bout an hour but cost about €3 which is very reasonable. Hotel also has an arrangement with local sailing club on the lake, worth a visit.

I stayed here with a group of friends while working on an independent film shooting at Lake Bracciano. The owners are a very sweet and accommodating family and they helped us with everything we needed. The property is quaint, clean, charming, and located on an extremely beautiful hillside overlooking the most extraordinary Lake Bracciano. I would definitely recommend staying here, not only for the Roman countryside, but as an luxuriously peaceful and economical option to stay right near Rome. The train from Bracciano to the Center of Rome takes only about 40 minutes. Highly Recommended!!!

Beautiful environment, beautiful building

After visiting Cinque Terre and Tuscany by car, we wanted to spend our last night in Italy at a place as close to Rome airport as possible; but not at an airport hotel. Thus it would be easier for us to drive to the airport, and at the same time we could enjoy our last night in Italy before returning back home. An Italian friend suggested Bracciano as the town to stay. We picked this hotel based on good reviews. La Gismonda is in a rural area, and it is difficult to reach there. However, it is worth it. The environment and the building are both beautiful. As we reached the hotel rather late and stayed only one night, we could not use the pool. We stayed in the blue room which has lake view and is pretty specious in European standards. The room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our breakfast outside with a lovely view of lake Bracciano. It is an “agriturismo” run by a family. My wife had a chance of chatting with mother and daughter. They were both very friendly.

So peaceful and relaxing. The most comfortable beds! We ended up staying another night and got a room with an incredible view. The owners cooked us the best meal we ve had in Italy! Thank you so much!

I had a trip by myself here and my stay was more than pleasant. The staff was incredibly nice, the food was amazing and the environment was everything I wanted. A must have piece of the wonderful Italy.
