The Good: the owners (it’s a family business) are very polite and helpful. Even if you come downstairs past the official breakfast time, they will offer to prepare breakfast for you. The hotel is away from the city center, therefore no traffic noise. The view, especially from the upper floor that avoids power lines is really nice. I stayed for two very cold nights. My room were very well heated (you can control the temperature). Every room has a fireplace and firewood is provided. The Bad: it’s a noisy building. The first night as a group came in at 3am I woke up. The second night, the people stayed in the room right on top were taking care of their fire place and the noise from the metal meeting metal came straight to my room. Both nights I was forced to use ear-plugs, which made for an uncomfortable sleep. The building lacks any kind of noise insulation. In the morning as people are checking out and the cleaning of the rooms starts you are out of luck if you hope to get some extra rest. The breakfast is really bad. I am sorry. There is no other way to put it. Bad coffee too. PS. Both issues can be somehow tackled (carpets in the rooms; not allowing to use fireplace past midnight and prepare a decent breakfast with local products).

Pros: clean, well heated rooms and polite service. Good view of the village and the mountains. Cons: Smallish rooms, tiny bathrooms, poor breakfast. Also, as other reviewers commented, access becomes challenging in bad weather. Not good value for money.

Great place to visit Kalavrita with kids. Close to town and really friendly, warm, service. There's a fireplace in the cozy, sunken common living room and great views of the village and snow-covered mountains from the rooms.

Very clean & comfortable, lovely rooms & friendly owners. Some rooms have a fireplace as well as the central heating. Breakfast sparse, but great coffee, I would expect it to be more extensive in the winter months as this is a ski destination & there were only a few of us staying at the time (August). It was fine for us though, enough to start us off for the day. Lovely cosy lounge with fireplace, TV & board games, again, this would be wonderful on a winter's evening. The only downside for some would be the location, high on the hill above the village, gave great views, but access depends on mode of transport. By car there are 2 ways up to it, one a very steep ridged concrete road & the other longer, but less steep tarmac road with a short patch that is dirt track. Arriving by bus or train would mean a taxi up, too much to walk with luggage. All in all a lovely place & I would stay there again.

Avoid at any cost unless they drop the price down to 35 euro per night!!!! Αυτη η εμπειρια δεν αξιζε πανω απο 35 ευρω. Δεν αξιζει ουτε να το δοκιμασετε, καλυτερα να πατε στα μπουζουκια να πεταξετε 100€ λουλουδια παρα να τα δωσετε σε αυτους τους απατεώνες!!!
