The staff make this hotel 5-star
Avaliou em 16 de Outubro de 2021
We normally only offer 5-stars to the luxury hotels found for example in Hong Kong, India, New York, London etc, with (again, for example) a full 24-hours cafe/dining experience. Nevertheless, this hotel is luxurious and what makes it 5-star is the wonderful staff - from top to bottom in the heirarchy, nothing was too much trouble for anyone, and requests were always answered with immediate efficiency.
The rooms/suites are excellent, the food good and, being adults-only, the hotel is quiet - appealing to many couples - from mature age (such as us), to young honeymooners.
There are only small downsides: the hotel is perched on a hillside so a lot of climbing is needed to get from communal areas to the upper rooms, although free golf buggies are also available to transport you there. The beach is not large and not in a good condition (despite how it looks in the hotel photos). Also, the hotel is not in a vibrant area. Its sister hotel is adjacent, with some facilities which they share and a small village with a couple tavernas and a few shops about is 0.5 km away - but the nearest real small town (Beniteses) is 10km and thus a bit too far to walk to.
Nevertheless, for a quiet, relaxing, well-fed, luxury holiday, this is a wonderful hotel.
Superb relaxing hotel with incredible food, views and staff

Marbella Nido looked great from the website pictures and was even better in reality. Set into the splendid Corfu hillside overlooking a clear blue sea with Mainland Greece/Albania mountains in the distance it had promise. What made it really special however were the staff. A perfect mix of polished professionalism with relaxed and friendly overtones. From the outset we were made to feel welcome and that was a constant feature from all staff whether on reception, room service, poolside, or in the restaurant and spa. Much credit must go to the ever present hotel manager Amaryllis Pouliezou for inspiring her team to follow in her footsteps. Fed up standing in line to check into a busy hotel? It doesn't happen at Marbella Nido. You are guided to comfortable lounge seating and provided with welcome drinks before being helped through the registration process and then transported to your suite in one of the many electric buggies always on hand to move you around. Only a couple of years old the suites are comfortable, well designed and well maintained. A never ending team of housekeeping staff keep everything clean and tidy and add little touches such as a constant supply of water and even a daily chocolate ration. The quality and variety of the buffet food in the main restaurant was superb with added bonuses such as a small a la carte menu and cooked to order options. All topped off with the best desserts we have ever had. The diet starts now........The large infinity pool and lounging areas were great when not out and about exploring the island or on the local beach. Anything not to like? OK the beach is small with stones and some seaweed typical of the East side of the island and there is a road between it and the hotel grounds. The access to the suites is steep and despite the buggy service there are still steps to navigate. Did this spoil our trip? Not at all. After making full us of the buffet breakfast and dinner the exercise was very welcome! Anyone with limited mobility might have an issue however. We didn't take a note of staff names generally and so many of them deserve a special thank you for making our 40th wedding anniversary trip so special. However the ever happy "Captain" Dimitrios and the rest of the restaurant staff were tireless in catering to our every need.
Small but perfectly formed luxury hotel!

We have been back home in the UK now for a couple of weeks and if I had the chance, would return to the Marbella Nido tomorrow!
From the moment we arrived, the welcome drinks and attention to detail was faultless and made us feel they actually wanted our custom as guests and that is very rare to find these days, even in the most luxurious of establishments.
The design of the hotel nestled into a hill is very clever; terraced levels, steep inclines but no need to worry, a smiley buggy driver is always on hand to whizz you up to your room number - we stayed in 102.
The food was always plentiful and of a very high standard particularly as buffets sometimes can be lacking in appeal.
The affinity pool was amazing and most of the time I had it to myself, utter bliss, looking out to sea and the Greek mainland.
Yes, the shingle beach is on the small side but, very comfortable loungers, waiter service if you wish and lovely swimming in the warm sea.
But if you want to know the hotel’s best asset - it’s the staff who work there.
The hotel manager - Amaryllis, should be applauded for her management in creating an amazing team of people who engage, acknowledge and spread happy vibes amongst their guests, to make them feel that they are valued and genuinely want them to really enjoy their holiday.
Special mention goes to the Restaurant and Beverage Manager - so lovely, Thanos on the reception - nothing was too much trouble plus all the other staff who worked in the team.
We are hoping to come back next year and experience our new ‘happy place of relaxation and spoiling’ thank you everyone.
Really lovely hotel

This is a really lovely hotel and thoroughly deserves all the 5* reviews it receives. We arrived late in the evening, to be greeted at reception with not just one but two welcome drinks and we were then given time to sit and relax on the terrace before being shown to our room. That set the tone for the whole week - nothing seemed to much trouble and all the staff went out of their way to enhance our stay.
The hotel layout is very attractive with villa style blocks, winding up the hillside, surrounded by beautifully maintained and colourful gardens. Our room had a large terrace with jacuzzi, seating areas and great views out over the sea.
We ate in the buffet restaurant where the food was very high quality, both for breakfast and dinner - great variety, choice, and an amazing array of desserts.
Each table had bottles of sanitiser and everything felt very covid safe.
The infinity pool was bigger than it looked in the brochure and has a large terrace with lots of sunbeds. Just across the road there's also a shingle beach with more sunbeds (and towels). Agios Ioannis is tiny with just a few shops and a couple of tavernas but it is possible to explore more of the island using the local buses which stop outside the hotel. In honesty we were more than happy to spend our time just enjoying the peaceful calm atmosphere around the hotel.
Special mention for the lovely girl who came round each evening with fresh water bottle and chocolates.
We had a fabulous week and would highly recommend the Nido.

Can not recommend this hotel highly enough if you are looking for a relaxing, calm and chilled break
From the moment you arrive the staff are so welcoming and can not do enough for you.
The rooms are modern, clean, comfortable and all overlook the beautiful sea.
The food is excellent quality with plenty of choice at the buffet as well as a small a la Carte selection.
Corfu town is only 30 mins away with a bus service across the road from the hotel (€1.70 each way ! ). Definitely worth a visit.
We loved the whole vibe and atmosphere of the hotel. and can’t wait to return.
Thank you Marbella Nido for an amazing week x
