This is a good hotel considering your options for staying within the park. Some reviews note that the bathroom lacks basic amenities like a shower curtain but that’s par for the course for any establishment that’s not completely 100% westernized. As a family traveling with 2 boys the place and the included breakfast served as a good headquarters for our hikes. Staff was knowledgeable.

It gets the job done if you just want to stay overnight for Alishan sun rise, our room didn't even have a shower curtain, very small and basic amenities. The internet also didn't work too well. I would not want to stay for more than one night.

Simple Guesthouse, Basic Stay

Basic, clean, spacious and staff are friendly with basic knowledge about the area. Location is good as it's within walking distance from the Alishan Transportation Station, u can push your luggage to the hotel, and a few flights of stairs up to the restaurants and shops area. The only thing is there is no lift, therefore if u r staying in the top floor, expect to carry your own luggages up n down, staff will not extend help.

Other than the location, there is nothing great about this place. The wifi is bad. There is no elevator. There was problem confirming the room reservation. The walls are thin and the ground floor is very noisy because of the activities at the reception and the lobby. The staff are not overly friendly though slightly helpful enough. The whole place is very dated. There are cracked tiles and stains all over the place. The complimentary breakfast is edible but is not within the premises. The breakfast place is located in another eating house 5 mins on foot away.

This hotel is situated in national park. That is easy to fo around. The facilities is very basic not fancy but as I mention it is in national park. So for me, it is good. Staff were very friendly and they can speak English. When we stayed, it had landslide and road was closed. The bus could not use. They tried to find taxi for us. That os very appreciated and helpful.
