Typically Austrian and well worth a visit

Avaliou em 9 de agosto de 2022

Nice authentic Austrian hotel, lovely staff and typical Austrian food ( always plenty of it too ) Pool & sauna facilities are ok, too many kids running about the small pool and too many nude people in the sauna area ( there’s a dedicated place for naked people but everyone ignores the signs although the family area could be better highlighted ) Nice room lovely balcony views. Afternoon snack is great. A bit of a shocker that there’s not even tea or coffee included at evening meal , but it’s about €7 for 2 people so won’t break the bank. Bar area nice at night good selection of drinks. It’s up a hill from the nearest bus stop which in heat was a challenge at times. Overall very good

Friendly hotel with great views and outstanding food

We really enjoyed our summer stay at the Hotel Alphof. The hotel was very friendly, staff were helpful and our room was well appointed. We enjoyed the outdoor bar area and the views from sun terrace. The food was outstanding, with one of us vegetarian, all options were imaginative and flavoursome. We were there during very hot weather so the room was warm and we’re glad we took a travel fan. Alpbach is a lovely village and the surrounding area is beautiful. The summer visitors card is a big bonus.

Lovely summer break

We stayed half board through Inghams. Hotel staff were lovely, the hotel has lots of places to sit and chill, terraces, bar, viewing deck on roof and a pool and sauna area that was larger than I expected for a hotel of this size. Lots of walks around the hotel and a lovely setting

Unexpectedly brilliant

We booked a last minute ski trip and were hugely impressed. Alphof itself is beautiful and just a short, regular bus journey to the slopes (don't be put off by this, they come every 10 minutes) The hotel itself was superb. Delightful staff and managers who go the extra mile. There was SO MUCH food which was all of superb quality with plenty of options. The spa area was a real treat after a days skiing, really relaxing and will thought out. Would definitely reccomend.

Came back from this hotel on 12th February after the most wonderful week. Other posts on here go into lots of detail, most of which I agree with. The hotel, staff, food, leisure facilities and rooms were all exemplary. Definitely the best ski hotel I've stayed in, which made it very dreary to back to damp grey England. A couple of notes about other comments on here. The toweling slippers are not compulsory, you can go into the spa area in other footwear and the spa/sauna areas are not 'naked only'. There is an adults only area where this is the case, but the unlabelled door opposite leads to the saunas and steam rooms where swimming costumes are required.
