Lovely hotel, staff so helpful

Hotel is in excellent location with views of the Black Forest. Room spacious and comfortable with large balcony, yes a little dated but that didn't deter from a good stay. Food excellent and breakfast varied and plentiful. I must praise Monika, one of the Reception Staff, she was outstanding and so kind when I needed some help. Definately recommend this hotel.

The hotel, though visibly not the most modern, still offers a good standard of luxury. Service is friendly, the food is good. It used to offer a swimming ppol, but that has shut down. The spa area is quite small but sufficient for a short chill out.

Lovely Hotel but a bit Corporate

It was a good hotel but you are not really in the forest surrounded by trees. It is also a little corporate as it does conventions, rather than traditional but the service was very good. We found very friendly staff. We had a garden suite which was very nice and the hotel had free wifi. The room was very clean and very nicely furnished. Breakfast was very nice and had a good variety.

We took this Hotel as a weekend break away from the daily routine. We were received by the staff in a very friendly manner. The room was perfect. The breakfast has a variety to meet all types of tastes. I recommend the "A la Carte" restaurant, I had the medallions both evenings, the first one with the specified german spaetle and the other with rice, both time the medallions were perfect to my fast. On the second night, my wife also had the medallions. Strongly recommend. We will stay at this hotel again, can only recommend it.

Our 2nd time here, it's no longer absolutely surrounded by trees but you still know you are in a forest. Very pretty roads all around the area so it was well worth our taking the 294 south from Pforzheim and then cutting across to Altensteig even though there was a temporary detour along the way. Very helpful staff, free underground parking, big room with en-suite bathroom, and excellent evening meal, very good continental Breakfast. What more could we want?
