Mediterraneo Palace Hotel is located in Amantea!It has a big terrace with an amazing view on the oldest city! Rooms are super clean and comfortable! All the people, who are working in the hotel have high quality attention to the customer needs and they are really professional. Inside the hotel you can find a resturant with a view on the swimming pool, with first choice food and with the lowest waiting time for eat. Nevertheless, the hotel has also a wellness center with Spa, gym and possibility to have massages. The stuff inside the wellness center is well prepared and can provide advises on the type of the massage that most fit to the customer need. The coolest thing is also that if for any reason you would not feel comfortable to walk to the sea or the beach bar of the hotel, the hotel has organized a constantly transportation service. Thanks Mediterraneo Palace Hotel for let me feel at home and for the best experience ever! I strongly recommend to visit the Mediterraneo Palace hotel, here some pics for you! Regards, Maria

Unwelcoming and nasty

First of all look at the review posted - most, esp on another site, are a single word and from people who have never travelled anywhere else- pure rating rigging. The place had facilities but they are not available - the gym was a joke, use from 10am to 12 noon but checkout was 10am. Breakfast was basic and stale, the room was OK but the whole place hijacked by a wedding and anyone outside this made to feel like they were in the way. A definite anti non-Itaian bias - photos are of things you cant use, the business centre gone and when it boils down to it the place has no available facilities. Not welcomed and refused to accept my UK ID - saying that we will soon be gone ! Dont trust the reviews and avoid this place and the difficult family that rules over what is definitely their kingdom

I didn’t have a pleasant experience and i will explain why: Positive points: ⁃ very large and updated rooms and facilities ⁃ Clean ⁃ Closed garage ⁃ Very close to the beach ⁃ External pool available ⁃ Allowed us to check in a couple of hours earlier. Negative points: ⁃ When we did the booking, there was also a internal pool. Point is that its not available for guests (only if you pay 35 euros more at least each — we had already payed 95 euros for the room)! We didn’t expect it and i never saw a hotel that put pictures from the facility on the internet to not make it available for guests! Very bad! Felt mislead because we chose the hotel due to the internal pools!!! ⁃ There was 2 parties on going when we arrived at 11:30 am and we had absolutely no issue with that of course. Problem is that at 11:45 pm people were still singing at the karaoke and we couldn’t sleep. This was horrible! I called the reception and they told me that soon they would stop... SOON??? Felt very mislead. No problem if they want to do parties on their facilities (its theirs). But then don’t sell rooms to guests that want to rest. - breakfast was not good at all. We arrived around 9:30 and it was pretty much empty. The cappuccino was the worst I ever had in Italy in 3 years. Wont come back and wouldn’t indicate to any friend.

With a sad heavy heart, we left the Mediterranean Hotel after one weeks holiday as a family. We absolutely love this hotel. The location is great. Just couple of minutes walk to the shops and the beach. There's a curtesy cart that takes you to and fro to the beach if you don't want to walk. Although on the main road, no noise was noticable when inside and even by the pool. Pool- clean and serene. Our little one loved it. Plenty of beds dotted around. Not too deep and great for Children and also a good swim. Restaurant - This was inside but we asked to eat outside and there was no problem at all. The food was exceptionally good and they would cook you anything you wanted even if not on the menu. Half board included wine and water! What more can you ask for? Rooms- large and clean and fully equipped. Ours had a huge balcony overlooking the pool. Perfect. Shower was always hot. Plenty of toiletries and fresh towels daily. Had hairdryer. Excellent easy to use safe. Beds comfy and huge. Fab little cot provided for our little one. He loved it. WIFI excellent. Beach was superb. Everything you need. Staff were friendly and helpful. Waiter Christian spoke excellent English and was very accommodating. Entertainers Alessio and Emanuella deserve a mention as they became friends and also took us out one evening to the best gelateria in Amantea. Reception staff were exceptional friendly too. Cleaners were meticulous and friendly. Every member of staff took upmost pride in their work and it showed. Well done to the Mediterranean Palace. We hope to be back next year.One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in.

Nice hotel but don't go there if you want to have night rest during summer period

Positive aspects: Very spacious and clean bath & sleeping room Good working air conditioning Good bed quality Good breakfast buffet with plenty of choices. Pitty that you have to drink fruit juice out of plastic cup! Good parking possibilities The hotel offers free sunbeds and umbrella on their private beach area Transport between the hotel and the beach by means of golf car. Negative aspects: The hotel is situated along very busy road and creates of course traffic noise in the rooms. During our 1-week stay, we were confronted with at least 3 wedding nights! So, don't go there during summer period if you give importance to night rest! Swimming pool is rather small and there were not sufficient sunbeds. Because the weddings occupied the main restaurant, the hotel residents had to move for their diner to a very unpleasant restaurant room in an adjacent building. As such, it is clear for me that the restaurant management is focussing during summer on organizing weddings and is paying less attention to their hotel guests. Pitty for such a nice hotel.
