Dreadful

Avaliou em 18 de julho de 2022

The worst site we stayed at in a six week tour of France. Despite a warm, professional reception on arrival there was nothing else to recommend this site. Dirty facilities: despite the last two years of Covid precautions staff at this site did not appear to have done any additional cleaning, the only nod to Covid appears to have been closing the majority of showers and toilets. We stayed for two days at the weekend and only three toilets and showers were available. Consequently in the mornings it was pretty difficult to use the facilities. There were plenty of spiders, webs and flies in corners. There were no refreshments available on site, despite facilities being advertised. We would not recommend this site despite its convenient location.

First Hook Up - Out of Order Food & Drink - Not Available as Private Function on All wkend.. (was not told prior to booking) Toilet & Shower Block - Where do I start !! Absolutely filthy ! Four Showers in ladies for whole Site.. Old fashioned & Falling apart.. They were Dirty !! Full of Flies !! And not Cleaned once in the Two Days I stayed.. New Shower Block - Out of Service.. Showers at Pool Freezing Cold.. No Sink in there to wash hands after using toilet !! Not Seen One Cleaner.. Pool - No Sun loungers, just chairs (uncomfortable) Pool - Not seen anyone checking on the chemical levels or being cleaned.. No Maintenance !! No Staff around site.. other than at reception. Morning Bread Delivery - left outside reception, until someone arrives to open up. (Bags all open) How they say 4 stars ⭐️ is Beyond me. Would I Recommend ?? No !! Sum up in one word - Disgusting !!

Great place for a stop over but really don’t stay any longer, the mosquitoes are extremely bad, the restaurant fringes on racism if your not French and the bar staff treat your children like they are a complete inconvenience, they told my children that they can only order pizza because they have a special on tonight but then serve the locals anything off the menu?? The toilets/shower areas are neglected and having spent several nights here I only saw them being cleaned first thing in the morning then nothing all day.

OK Campground, but offensive staff

Site is OK with some compromise on showers/toilets. Staff at reception helpful and friendly, maintenance staff extremely unfriendly (offensive against Germans, because we used wrong sink for water). Will NOT stay again!

Great camping but this is our 2me visit and will NEVER return

To start off with I do not complete reviews but feel strongly about this debated for months now to write it. 2nd visit, first visit 2017 and 2nd Aug 2019. Excellent pitches, great price. This year now indoor pool which was great as rained every day and more added children entertainment and even pool party great. Negative upsetting and embarrassing- I noticed at pool people had wrist bands on but we were never given them when we booked in, previous visit we had them even though it was also (I found out later the manager who booked us in). My husband came in pool area with us but had teeshirt on but does not come swimming he has some scarring which he prefers to cover. A young polite gentlemen in the pool pulled me up polite my saying we needed wrist bands on in broken english. I explained never given them and he asked if I could go to office and get which we gladly did. Next day he came to us again asking my husband to remove his top as for cleanliness reasons not allowed in pool area. I explained why but not allowed he said ok for today but not again we said ok. Then 10 minutes later the manager was walking around (lady who booked us) who basically shouted at my husband for his top with everyone staring, it was awful, but he politely left, he felt like trash. Over the next couple of days as it was rainy lots of people kept told on, yet my husband could not be with us. Revenge is sweet although I feel bad for the poor young man, a couple of days later I seen the young man and showed him all the people with t-shirts on, I explained this was not fair my family separated as we follow rules (and got shouted at). He said sorry then went and told all those with t-shirts on to remove, my goodness did the French people about at him and some stormed out of pool area. I felt sorry for the man as he was not the one who shouted and completely embarrassed my husband. I t was worse for us as we are english and felt like scum, it was not fair and this one thing will make us never return. I have actually found a solution for people like my husband you can buy swimming tops for men and this would meet regulations.
