Bastante Satisfeito

Ponto fortissimo do Hotel, parabens.

Disappointed. Definitely not 4 star!

Just returned from a weeks holiday here as a family of 3 adults and 1 baby. Wanted to provide a very fair review of the hotel so will start with the positives: 1. Food - Hotel has a buffet style for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and offers numerous options to accomodate for most diets/tastes. Quite repetitive, however bearable. 2. Entertainers/Kids Reps - Brilliant!! My little boy (18months) who is normally quite shy around strangers, actually took one of the entertainers hands and went a stroll with them (of course still within sight!). Julia in particular is so friendly, bubbly and approachable and an asset to the hotel!! 3. Spa - We visited this on 2 occasions during our stay. Highly recommend the body scrub and bubble massage! So relaxing and skin felt amazing afterwards. We also had a facial and Aroma Massage which were both great. Staff really friendly too. 4. Cats - This may be a negative to some, but our family loved seeing and feeding the cats around the hotel, my little boy in particular. All super friendly (actually witnessed kids picking the cats up and carrying them around like a baby lol!), and will approach you for a stroke. Now on to the negatives: 1. Cleanliness - The cleanliness of this hotel lets it down significantly. We switched the button on for our room to be cleaned every day, and all that was provided was fresh towels. Bins weren't emptied, floors not swept, nothing was touched. The floor of our apartment hadn't been cleaned prior to our arrival, with hairs, clothing tags, dust etc lying around .. my son actually was in his bare feet for no longer than 20mins and the soles of his feet were black! We complained to the jet2 rep, but nothing was done. The outside of the hotel also lacks with rubbish bins over flowing and a strong smell coming from the wasteland close by. 2. Pools - No life guards around any of the pools unless the water slides are open, where 1 life guard is present at the bottom of the slide on his phone, or wandering around talking to other staff members. Pools are absolutely freezing, especially the kids pool! Haven't felt anything like it!! No snack/bar around quiet pool so you have to go back inside to the hotel, or walk round to the main pool should you want drinks etc. 3. Entertainment - No entertainment on during the day other than the odd zumba dance for 30mins. Music is played but think there was only 1 speaker as was very faint so almost pointless even being on. Night time entertainment was a hit or a miss - kids disco was ok but started at 8:30pm so my little boy was sleeping, and only lasted 30mins. Our last night, final night of the season, it was advertised around the hotel that there would be a "DJ Experience", so we thought party/disco and listening to a proper DJ. How wrong were we! It was the "DJ", that played the kids disco songs, playing his playlist from the previous 6 nights on repeat, so we left after about 10mins. 4. Staff - Some staff members were lovely, smiling and making an effort to say hello, especially the cleaner in the main restaurant! We didn't catch her name, but my little boy loved saying hello to her everyday and she always had a smile on her face! About 80% of the staff walk about with no smiles, screaming across the room at one another in turkish, so unprofessional! We stood waiting for a lift as we were on the 3rd floor with a buggy, and 2 members of staff with trolleys barged in front of us and took the lift! Could go on and on with the negatives but these were the main ones! Will definitely not be back here and don't understand how the holiday companies are getting away with selling this hotel as a 4 star luxury hotel! It is anything but! Spend a bit more money and stay at the Concorde or Delphin resorts across the road. Will definitely not be back here

Great October Half term break

Avaliou em 2 de novembro de 2022

Recently returned from a great weeks break here with my family and friends - our group consisted of 4 adults, 12 year old, 9 year old, 6 year old, 5 year old, 3 year old and 1 year old! And we all had a lovely break. My family (2 adults, 2 children, 1 infant) paid roughly £2800 for a week's all inclusive which included flights and transfer. We arrived at the hotel around tea time and like other reviews it doesn't have the fancy front however we had a warm friendly greeting and a modern reception/ lobby. Hotel Room - We stayed in a deluxe suite which had plenty of room - sofa bed in the living area and then a double bed, single bed and travel cot in the bedroom. Air conditioning worked and the balcony doors were safe and secure. We found the apartment clean and no dirty feet as previously mentioned on reviews! The beds are firm but that didn't both my husband or myself at all. There are window shutters you can close which is great for keeping the apartment dark in the mornings. Food - We ate breakfast and dinner in the main restaurant - buffet style. Each night something new as well as chips, pasta etc. As a group we really enjoyed the food as there was plenty to choose from. During the day we are lunch at the pool bar - this was often the same each day but you do have the choice of going back to the restaurant. The Chapatti's are made fresh and lovely! The woman making them works so hard each day she's a credit. My only negative is the coffee - I really didn't enjoy the coffee that was on offer which was disappointing. The staff in the restaurant are non stop clearing tables and sweeping the floor - all friendly and take time to say hello to the children. Pool Area - We spent most days by the pool where there is a splash area, a couple of pools and slides. All the kids enjoyed these and so did the adults! Slides were great fun! Yes some of the lounger do need a good clean - maybe could be power washed each evening and put away. The water is also cold - the children's pool is the coldest which is a shame because it could have entertained them a lot longer than it did. Once your in the pool though your fine .. you just need to take a deep breath and jump in! We also took the shuttle bus to the beach one day - it's not a sandy beach more stones but the kids enjoyed themselves. You can have your drinks/ food there as part of your all inclusive package which was good. Entertainment - Each evening there is a kids disco which was led by Julia with help of Nur and Fati when we were there who also run the kids club. Great fun for the kids they enjoyed the dancing and loved Julia. The kids club was a great success for some of the kids in our group - Julia is a real credit to the hotel. She's friendly, caring with the children and approachable they all loved her. Nur also spent time with our kids playing Uno which they really enjoyed and so did we! We watched the majority of the entertainment our favourite was the acrobats - the bar seemed to be the busiest this night. All in all our break was wonderful which was a real relief after hearing alot of the negative reviews on here. The only negatives I had was the temperature of the children's pool, the coffee and at times the pool toilets - weren't regularly checked on and soap had run out. But these negatives didn't greatly impact our holiday and shouldn't be held against the hotel. We would definitely return to the hotel and Lara Beach.

Fair review

Avaliou em 2 de novembro de 2022

Just returned after a week here as 2 families with 6 children (ages 1-12). After reading previous reviews we were dubious about the hotel however each of us had a great holiday. There are things which could do with improving but that is like any business in the uk or abroad. We all enjoyed the food here. The hotel catered for numerous tastes from all over the world and there was always lots of choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Yes it was mainly buffet style but omelettes were made fresh to order as were flatbreads at lunch time. We also frequently observed dining staff replacing trays of food with fresher versions. We were there over half term yet only encountered a large queue on one evening. As someone who frequently gets an upset stomach abroad, I can report this was not the case here. I feel that ‘holiday’ belly will occur anywhere that there is a change in water, food and when alcohol is consumed! Drinks were hit and miss. Sometimes they were served in tiny paper cups whilst at other times they were served in plastic glasses (poolside). ‘Prosecco’ was certainly not prosecco….it tasted like peach liquor. Some times orders were lost in translation and quality dependant on staff, but that is to be expected. Generally, after a few days there we found our favourite drinks that we stuck with. The beds were fine and the thin covers enough for us - we all slept well. There was air con / hearing systems in the rooms. The rooms were lovely and towels changed / beds made up / bins emptied if requested (turning a green light on). Sheets were not changed and rooms not cleaned during our stay, but I wouldn’t expect that during a weeks stay. It would, however, have been nice to have had coffee / cups replaced for in the room. The activity poolside could have done with a bit of cleaning up - the toilets were definitely not checked regularly as the soap dispensers were never refilled during our stay and toilet roll not always available. The sunbed cushions were not overly clean either. A few more staff available to spray the beds and maintain the toilets would have helped. The slides were amazing and the kids loved the fact there were few queues for this. The life guards were pleasant but probably quite relaxed. To be fair though, health and safety requirements vary in different countries and as a parent I would not have left my young children to run around an Aqua park unsupervised. The pools were cold but heated up with the sun as the day went on - think due to evenings being cooler. The entertainment team were great. Julia is an asset to the hotel and a reason why we would return. She made the children feel so welcome in the kids club and they loved the kids disco. The outside of the hotel did need some clearing up but we didn’t have any issues with stray dogs. If you look around Lara beach as a whole, there is a good bit of derelict land and a few stray cats and dogs about but that is of no fault of the hotel. The services we received appeared to improve towards the end of our holiday when the hotel quietened down. We felt that the little issues identified above could be easily sorted with good management and probably more staff during busier periods. We also feel that some of the complaints mentioned by other guests relating to language barriers, hard beds and food are slightly unfair and subjective. Although not a 5* hotel as advertised, we have enjoyed our holiday and feel we got what we paid for.
