Just stay away from this place
When we arrived late, we were met by a friendly lady and her son, who carried our suitcases to our room. When we walked into the room, the heat almost killed ut, so we tried in desperation to find out how to turn on the AC. When we couldn't find out, we went down to the reception to ask how the AC worked. The lady we had met earlier that night, looked grumpy and said "42 euros per week". We had no other choice than to pay, even though this actually was included in our price. The hotel had also promised breakfast in the roof bar at 8am. We showed up at 8:10 and all we saw was an elderly woman saying "hello". We didn't try to get breakfast any other days after that. When we checked out, the lady in the reception claimed that I owed the hotel 50 euros for the AC, which i had paid her son the day after we arrived. She started arguing about it, but when she realized that she was wrong, she was rude and looked extremely pissed off.
great rooftop pool
Had a really great stay in June 2018. Eleni and Manolis and the boys made it a really great stay. A very comfortable hotel, clean, family run where nothing was too much trouble. The rooftop pool and bar is a really comfy place for breakfast. The wi-fi is free and there is air-con in all rooms.
Nice and clean, but..
So, our stay was slightly bittersweet. We arrived at night and found out quickly that this hotel does not accept credit cards which was a little annoying. When we were trying to pay cash at the poolbar they didn’t have sufficent change for like a €50 bill so we were having to make sure we had the smaller amounts to pay with. Anyway; the room was clean and the maid was very respectful and friendly. The same goes for the female owner and her son. However, her husband and mother-in-law had kind of a sour attitude. His mother always sat outside the reception and didn’t ONCE crack a smile or greeted us when we passed by her. The man had a bad attitude when asked questions and he really looked like he hated his job. We always got new towels (except for sundays because there were no cleaning those days) so we put our towels on the floor each day to have them changed. One day, I guess the maid might have forgot to give us new ones but took the ones on the floor so I went to ask the man for new ones and he was like «well you dont get new towels every day» and seemed like that was our problem even tho we didn’t have a single one left in our room. His wife showed up and took me straight away to the room where they kept towels and gave us new ones with a smile. If we knew that there would be ONE day without new towels we wouldn’t have thrown them on the floor but on holiday it’s nice to feel fresh and clean after a long day with bathing and tanning in the extremely hot weather. The hotel itself was average, but tidy and clean so we didn’t have a bad experience overall but his attitude made us not wanting to ask him for advice or something at all because we felt like we bothered him - even when he was bartending by the pool. But, as I said, his wife and their son was always helpful and friendly and greeted us with smiles. I feel like, if you cant plaster a smile and a friendly tone towards tourists and the ones who pay your salary then maybe you should do something else with your time and for a living. I dont think I will be coming back, sadly.
Great value for money
Good location just outside the village. Traffic can be heard but not disturbing. Room very clean and everything works OK. Small cooker without oven was slow but coffee, egs etc. can be cooked. Restaurant food list was limited but basic snacks/food available. Staff was friendly but not too complimentary to be annoying. Beds OK, small balcony with table and chairs, enough for 2 persons. Aircon worked very well. Normal (90cm) size fridge with small frozen locker suitable for quicker cooling wine etc. Walk to small supermarkets about 5 mins, also many restaurants in short distance. Pool area clean, on roof wind makes sun more bearable, also ocean beach in short distance.
Another great holiday
Enjoyed another super holiday at this lovely family run hotel. Refurbished rooms nice, bright and very clean with beds and towels changed regularly. Helena and Manos doing good job running hotel with Maria. Pool and surrounding area kept clean and tidy.We will be back.
