Days Inn Arlington
Stayed here while visiting family for a couple of days. The property seemed a bit dated, but not much to complain about with the room. The night was fairly quiet and was able to get some decent sleep. The check-in and check-out was easy and the front desk were fairly friendly. Unfortunately no breakfast or daily room service due to COVID. Overall a pretty average stay, nothing remarkably good or bad and a decent choice for the price.
Dedicated service
Family run hotel really came through for people frozen out of their homes in the Texas emergency. Staff members went without sleep to provide maximum service and comfort to clientele. Friendly, caring, professional response in a crisis earns ten stars!
Don’t do it!
I never leave negative reviews. I think it’s way easier to complain to recognize good work. But. Here we are. I have been traveling across the US a lot recently (like 15,000 miles in 7 months). I always camp or stay at Motel 6. I was told to try Wyndham instead. So this trip (New Hampshire to California), I decided to try them. I arrived just past midnight at this location. I was checked in and went to my room. After unloading my truck, I finally settled in for some quick rest. When I turned on the TV, every station looked like it was out of a television from 1986 with a broken antenna. I tried to fix it by checking the connections, without success. The AC shook and groaned every time it turned on. I called the front desk and was told that I could move rooms only. I asked if there was some other remuneration since it was almost 1 am and I had already unloaded my truck. He indicated that he couldn’t but to speak to morning management. I just wanted to crash at that point. In the morning, I brought up the issue to the different employee. She said “I didn’t have a note.” So I showed her the picture of the TV as well as a video and one of the AC unit. She just repeated, “I didn’t have a note.” I explained that when I called last night, the employee told me to speak to the morning employees. She just shrugged and said, “I didn’t have a note.” Then another employee, who was intently interested in this conversation (done through bulletproof glass), said, “Oh what room, we will get it fixed.” I said which room but explained that I wouldn’t be able to benefit from them fixing it now. He said “Well, if there were other rooms, that’s on you.” I explained that I had driven 8 hours and it was after midnight when I arrived. I also had already moved all of my things into the room. He also just shrugged I asked the female employee if it was their policy to not provide any assistance for a significant inconvenience in a stay and she said, AGAIN, “I didn’t have any notes, so...” I asked who I could speak to and she told me that the manager may or may not be in but it would be much later. I asked for his name and contact information (it was blank on the name plate on the wall). She just stared at me. The other employee told her to just give me a business card and mumbled derogatory comments about me. I asked him if he would be okay with how it was being handled and he just stared and drank his coffee. The worst. And I’ve stayed at Motel 6’s I’ve had to use furniture to barricade my door due to the unsafe area and other occupants... and their staff was far better, even under those circumstances!
DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
Had to pack up my kids and leave. It was gross and management needs some classes on customer service. The breakfast looked old and and poorly done. One of the workers filling up food trays smelt like he hadn’t showered in days! Days Inn should be ashamed their name is on the sign!
Don't stay
Mattress sunk in and was very uncomfortable. Old . Hotel lobby is over crowded with outdated furniture. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. We stayed at a LaQuinta the night before in another state and it was wonderful.
