Hard mattresses = No sleep

Overall the place was fine. EXCEPT the mattress was rock hard. Felt slightly better than sleeping on the floor. Out of desperation I tried that option. Barely slept and was sore all over. You don’t expect to feel worse after staying a night at a Hampton Inn. When I spoke to the front desk I was told by the manager that even though every Inn has it prominently posted that satisfaction is guaranteed, here they would do nothing and all their mattresses are the same. As a long time Hilton member I can attest they are not the same hard slabs as we found here. It was the first bad one we had in 3 weeks of travel on this trip. Then to add insult to injury it was capped off in the morning by a broken toilet that you had to reach in the tank and open the flapper to flush and not leave an unwanted present for the maid.

Convenient, comfortable, but some difficulties

We stopped here en route between Florida and Toronto. It's just a few easy blocks from the I-95. The location is quiet. We frequently choose Hampton Inns as a reliable choice. This one was, as expected, clean and comfortable. We like the digital key feature, which means that you know when your room is ready (frequently before the posted checkin time) and also that you can bypass the front desk and head straight for your room. Here, however, for the first time, our digital key didn't work, and the person at the front desk twice tried, at some length, and unsuccessfully, to replace it. I had the sense that she wasn't really trained in how to manage the electronics. So, instead, we took two card keys, of which one stopped working after a while. Unlike many Hampton Inns, the rooms here included a fridge and microwave as standard. The bad news, though, is that the microwave in our room didn't work. On the positive side, the breakfast was better than we've had at most Hampton Inns, and included scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and fresh fruit.

Great I95 Stop

We stopped here on our way from NY to FL on 95 making sure to just to get past the North East traffic after Washington DC getting in late. We checked in on Hilton App which was super easy. Staff was super helpful late at night and in morning before getting back on road. Room clean and modern. Would definitely make another stop here in the future on our I95 travels.

Travel often from FL to PA. This was the first stop here. Check in easy. Diamond parking was available. Comp items offered. Room was clean, ready and great rm 116. Breakfast was actually ready early so we got an even earlier start. Will definitely keep Ashland in mind on our next trip

Premium Quality Hampton Inn

As a Diamond member I stay at Hilton properties all the time. This Hampton Inn was better than most. Great service. Breakfast selection better than usual. Daily room housekeeping if you want. Room was clean. Great location near the interstate, restaurants, shopping, and gas stations. I would recommend as well as stay here on future trips.
