We have stayed at this location before & decided to stay again. On a positive note, the rooms were quiet (there was a rowdy intoxicated bunch there from Kings Dominion), they served a grab & go breakfast, the pool was open & had great internet speed. However, within a year, there were alot of signs of deterioration. The emergency sign/alarm was hanging & holes in the walls in the stairwell, missing handle in the emergency door & the card swiper on the reg exterior door did not work. The fridge in our room leaked water into the carpet which spread to the bed. The vinyl on the desk chair was peeling off (stuck to our legs). The person at the front desk was not happy at all (we referred to him as Mr Smiley). The price was similar to newer hotels in the area & we chose to stay at this one. Definitely not worth the premium rate in the condition the hotel has downgraded to over the past year.

Very nice rooms, front desk evening attendant was super nice and accommodating! Easy check in. The only thing I would change would be lights in parking lot at night. Other than that will definitely stay here again

Understaffed and not maintained.

We stayed two nights and we're not impressed. The place seems unkempt and dirty, while being understaffed...not surprising during the COVID stimulus disaster. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with overflowing trash cans, cigarette butts strewn on the ground, filthy door glass that looked like it hadn't been clean in months, old worn furniture in the lobby that looked original from when the place opened in 2006, and a parking lot full of trash. A terrible first impression for customers.
Lou the manager/front desk clerk seemed to be trying to do multiple jobs and was the only employee I saw besides one maid. He was very personable and aimed to please, but I think he was simply overwhelmed. The room was a suite and appeared to be a little on the seemly side and not well maintained. Nothing in this place seemed to function...the room keys, pool closed, juice machines for breakfast were broken, no hot food for breakfast, constantly running out of things in the breakfast area.
Also took a tour on the other floors and it was more of the same: dirty carpets, garbage left in common areas, holes in wall, reeked of pot,
Ownership needs to get a handle on this place and give them the resources they need or shut it down because the way it is now is not very good. Please look elsewhere.
Nice Rest after long interstate drive

Traveling from Florida to Vermont and always stop in Ashland for the Sleep Inn. Usually takes us about 13 hours to get there, so after a quick bite to eat, we are ready for a good night sleep. Sleep Inn usually delivers with a clean room, good price and easy access off the highway. This stop was fine. Receptionist was pleasant, room was comfortable. Price at below $70 was good.
