A delightful experience

Avaliou em 27 de setembro de 2021

So well located in the heart of the town, a two room apartment in an old monastery building which has been redone, and what an interior interesting decoration Michele has placed. We spent one night and did not have breakfast, although generously offered. Parking is 2 minutes away, very convenient. Certainly worth staying there.

Charming Apartment-Quiet

This two room apt has a kitchen with refrigerator, coffee pot and a vast assortment of kitchenware. Next to it is a washing machine and an amazing shower. The rooms are decorated with lively paintings created by Michelle, the owner. She is as warm and full of life as her works of art. She is very eager to help you make your stay in Avignon as nice as possible. She has lived in Paris, Shanghai, New York City, San Francisco as well as London so she is quite aware of the needs of travel travellers. We will be back.

Relaxing oasis in Avignon

We stayed at Cocooning for just one night before checking into our rental apartment in L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. Michele gave us the upper apartment (there are two) and besides comfortable, it is an Interesting and eclectic collection of furniture, possessions and artwork, some of hers, and some from travels around the world. Michele is quiet interesting herself and easy to chat with. We enjoyed a delightful petit dejeuner the next morning with yummy coffee and steamed milk, pain at chocolate, croissants and fruit. We highly recommend Cocooning for a night or a week.

Quirky but homely

What an amazing place ! If you like art, history and interesting decor, this is the place for you. The owner, Michelle du Lac combines a very warm welcome with intelligent and entertaining conversation. Her background is incredible- a talented artist , potter and linguist And her breakfasts- a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach !! We loved our few days at Cocooning and will certainly return .

Location, charm, and wonderful breakfast

Avaliou em 27 de setembro de 2017

Stayed 4 nights beginning May 31. Wonderful choice. The charmng lower 1 bedroom apartment had everythng we needed, including a full kitchen and washing maching (what a treat after a week of travel). Located very near the Les Halles market building where we picked up rotiesserie chicken and everything else we needed for a great dinner. All 3 or 4 tourist busses also stop at Les Halles, so getting around was very easy. Michele served the very generous breakfast on beautiful serving pieces with wonderful homemade jam her sister made. But the best part of our stay was Michele herself, a facinating, well-traveled, talented woman with wonderful stories. Many of her art works grace the walls of this charming hideaway. Would definately stay again.
