Trip through H.I.S. Package bus tour

We had an excellent opportunity to walk around Shinshu area of Nagano, Japan through help from H.I.S. that has enabled us to stay this excellent hotel facility for one night. There seems many beautiful natural sites we could have visited, yet there was enough time to go around this time. Fantastic relaxing place I can recommend for your stay nearby this region.

The hotel is a bit old and quite far from town. The room is big. It's only accessible by car. It's located to the east of Mt Jonen and Chogatake. It serves as a good starting point to hike Mt Jonen and Chogatake and onto Hotaka mountain range.

beautiful scenery but old rooms

I think it's quite common for rooms in this area to be old-ish but the hotel itself was very clean with helpful staff. The onsen was quite nice although the outdoor part is quite small and tend to be cramped. the best thing about this hotel is definitely the view! even just looking out the window at breakfast was so beautiful and serene

Ryokan in the mountain

I came here with the tour group by the bus. The hotel is located in the mountain near Matsumoto so it may not as convenient if travel by train. View here is great especially during winter when snow is everywhere. They greet us with candle light up in bamboo to celebrate new year holiday which was very nice. My room is mixed between western and Japanese style so you can choose to either sleep in bed or on tatami floor in the same room which is quite unique. They have two onsens, one outdoor and one indoor. I went to indoor one. Even though a bit old but well equipped. They have one big pool with hotter water, jacuzzi with slightly lower temp and one small pool with cold water. It's fun to move around. Quite relaxing stay.

ホームページの雰囲気とは違い古さを感じます。 ロビーでワンコインで飲めるワインがとても良かったのと朝食も沢山種類がありとても美味しかったです。スタッフの方の対応も丁寧でとても良かったです。 残念な点は1番スタンダードな部屋を選んだせいか薄暗くカビ臭い、布団も薄っぺらい、エアコンがなくダイヤル式の送風のみで残念でした。 お風呂は遠く離れていて、山奥だから分かってはいますが露天風呂は蛾や虫がたくさん浮いていて気持ち悪くて入れませんでした。 内湯も小さい虫がかなり浮いていました。 脱衣所も髪の毛がすごく落ちていて不衛生だと思いました。アメニティもほぼ無く自分で持っていく必要があります。 残念ですが次行く事はないです。
