First impressions good, beautiful clean and modern room with comfortable bed. breakfast great, very hot best I've been served in a long while. View from window not great but still could see the beach. Benefits from free parking which many other hotels do not have.

Great little hotel in a central location

Great little hotel in a central location. I must admit that I was a little worried when we checked in as the bar looked as though it could get noisy and we appreciate a quiet room. But I need not have worried because we were in room 3 on the first floor and didn’t hear any noise from the bar directly downstairs. Must be really well insulated! The bedroom was beautifully decorated with a comfortable super king bed, and a great bathroom with a bath and a big walk in shower. Good selection of teas and coffees in the room and Netflix etc. We reported one small issue with our room which was rectified super quickly. The breakfast was really excellent … kept us full for ages! The staff were lovely too. There was a woman who did the cleaning and served us breakfast and she was lovely and really helpful. I didn’t find out her name. Good to have free parking when you stay at the hotel. We did go to the Bar downstairs in the evening and the drinks were good. A really enjoyable stay. Thank you!!

We booked The Tilman at the last minute on arriving in Barmouth. And so pleased we did. A lovely hotel, clean throughout the public areas and a spotless room. Our room had a modern decor and was light and airy. A bonus was the car park just around the corner. The hotel is above a wonderful bar, but despite staying on a Friday night, we were not disturbed by any noise at all. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

We stayed at The Tilman Sept 23rd to Sept 25th 2022. From arriving and checking in at the bar to checking out the service and friendliness of the staff were superb. We stayed in room 11 on the third floor. The room was spotlessly clean and quite large. The room was at the front of the property but was quiet and peaceful. The quality of the breakfasts was brilliant, from dippy eggs to poached eggs and salmon to the fabulous full English, it set you up for the day and no mistake. The staff were very, very efficient and the ladies at breakfast were great to talk to and an asset for The Tilman. Stay here you wont be disappointed, it will be on our radar to return soon! A fabulous bar/hotel in a beautiful village.

The Tilman is a quirky gem in a traditional beautiful town. The room we stayed in was Number 7 and faced the High Street. It was very very clean, spacious and quiet to sleep in. With a comfy large bed. The Molton Brown toiletries were excellent and the bathroom was stylish with a wet room styling. Breakfast was one of the best. Lots of choice. Excellent quality and well prepared. Finally the staff at the Tilman could not do enough for you. All were efficient and very warm and friendly. Note the unseen bedroom staff had done an amazing job. We ate at the Bank Restaurant which is fab also. It would be great if the Tilman judging by the breakfasts did a basic bar menu till about 8pm. Things like Tilman Burger etc. limited choice to keep it easy for them, but we felt some nights staying in for something chilled would be popular. Judging by breakfast even the simple meals would be excellent. Highly recommend.
