Conforto e praticidade
Roaches, wet carpets, poor management response
I stayed in this hotel three weeks in a row while on business. The first week, I encountered a roach in my room. I even wrote about it in a review sent by Mr. Al Patel, the General Manager. He responded that they would look into it. The second week was great. The third week, I left out to go to dinner, only to return to a room with a soaking wet carpet, which was not wet when I left. I called the front desk who call Mr. Patel. Mr. Patel refused to move me to another room because he was planning to shampoo all the carpets in the hotel, even with guests in the room. So he allowed a maintenance person to enter my room while I was away and then refused to provide any relief. At 8 PM, after traveling and working all day, I checked out and found another hotel. I will never stay in this hotel again. BTW, I was not the only person who complained about the wet carpet.
Try somewhere else
We chose this hotel as others were fully booked due to Hurricane Laura residents booked in Baton Rouge. Our check in was ok...friendly desk staff. Our room 405 had a strange odor...trying to mask smoke? The bathroom ceiling was stained.the shower pressure was non existent. Breakfast consisted of bananas, yogurt, instant grits and packaged muffins. Covid has affected the choices available. Fortunately we only stayed one night. If you have a choice, do NOT book this Choice Inn. We were disappointed in this one....and we paid $145 for the night!
Comfortable beds, convenient location
We stayed here on a family road trip. I liked the queen size beds, which are very comfortable. AC was nice and quiet and cooled the room nicely. Room was quiet even though we were right next to the I10 freeway. The room had everything we needed for our overnight stay on our road trip between Texas and Florida. Small fridge, microwave, and I liked the little coffee pot so I could have coffee before leaving my room. Since we stayed during Covid, masks were required (and I was glad) and breakfast options were very limited (we had breakfast at Another Broken Egg, highly recommended BTW). The location is convenient to I10 and many nearby restaurants to choose from. Since the beds were so comfy, we stayed here on our return home as well. We will be back next time we go to Florida!
Baton Rouge Stay
Initially turned away until we masked up. We had no problem with this. The room was clean, and located on the floor requested. The bed was not as comfortable as other Comfort Inn facilities we have stayed, but it was OK.
