My stay at ABID
My stay at ABID was great. Will comeback in the very near future. Always a good experience time in and time out. The rooms are always clean. The area is quiet and restaurants are plentiful. The jacuzzi is pleasant.
Upseting
Roaches, filthy, humid, stinky. Bad Bad Bad hotel. We checked in and walked to our rooms three in total. We came to the first room and found it not clean, and we thought that was a mistake but all three rooms were in the same condition. We whent to the front desk and told them about it and they gave us other rooms but the stunk was so bad that my wife vomited. and in one of the rooms there were roaches on the table. Humid walls greenish color. After all our complains they did not refund the $1700 we prepaid. Our budget for this vacation was ruin by this hotel because we when to another hotel .
Keep Driving. Don't stop
I booked this place for 3 nights as I was performing a wedding over the weekend. I arrived Thursday and after seeing 2 rooms that were in bad shape settled on a room upstairs. Pillows were flat and smelled of vomit. When I requested new pillows, the replacement ones were worse. Room smelled foul. Actually went to store and purchased pillows and air freshener. Rack where you hang clothes was pulling out of the wall, tv had big crack going whole way across, mattress cover was all ripped and urine stains. The need actually saved in the middle. I was propositioned within 15 minutes of arriving and asked to come in a room for a drink. Being a woman alone, the red flags were going off. Police were there at different rooms 2 times in after noon. The final straw was the electric did not work by the sink area and I could not get the over head lights over the sink to turn off. Tried every switch in the room. When I went to the office trying to explain they said they would check it the next day. I stated I was not going to sleep with lights on all night. But they had a brilliant solution. Just unscrew all the light bulbs. Then they told me you have to juggle the light switch and hold it in the middle to make it work. It has a short. Lovely. My cousin came and rescued me. They refunded all my money. Never spent the night. Rough group of people roaming around. Definitely not a place to go unless you go well protected.
Terrible room and area
My husband was propositioned when going out to the car. Blankets were extremely thin. Pillows were flat and not enough of them. The door hit the toilet every time you closed it. There was no light that could be left on during the night either.
Ghetto doesn't begin to describe..
In the event of hurricane Matthew my fiancé and I have fled from the state of Florida for the weekend and decided to drive up to visit Stone Mountain, Georgia. This was the last thing that was available to us and if it wasn't for that I would never have stayed here. The rooms are typical dirty, stained carpet, stained towels- motel clean. Clean enough to still somehow be able to function as a hotel, yet still dirty enough to make people squirm and regret ever stepping foot into this place. I'm not entirely sure how it's still open, but I'm assuming a large chunk of business is from the Neighborhood trash that either lives around this hotel or within it. Leaving my car parked outside every night was like Russian roulette, not to mention the shady characters that roamed this dump. Prostitutes, possible drug dealers. I was even asked if I did sexual services. It's our last night here and theres already been a scary knock from three men at our room door. I can't be more excited to go home, and not be afraid to sleep or park my car. Housekeeping probably didn't speak a lick of English, and none of the staff seemed to friendly. Overall, horrible place, horrible people that reside here. Warning to anyone- only stay here as a last resort. Except nothing good, and if there's anyway possible, find someplace else to stay. Pros- Good lighting in the sink area, good water pressure, and the soap smelled nice.
