Nice hotel in nice area

Nice hotel in a nice area. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. Breakfast was hot and plentiful. The mattress could have been more comfortable, but I realize that is often a personal preference. Overall, it was a good stay and I have no issue recommending.

Good location for the Alabama game

I stayed here for the Alabama game and it seemed most of the guests were fellow fans. I could tell by the lack of parking spaces after the game concluded. The location is mid way between Birmingham and Tuscaloosa. It is a good location to visit both places. The hotel looked new and the rooms were clean and the linens were fresh. I had a good view of the forest from my window. There is free breakfast in the morning. It was a good experience to stay here.

Mold growing in rooms

Decent hotel, but there’s a mold problem. We stayed here for one night while moving across country. The hotel itself is nice and generally clean. The staff was helpful and the complimentary breakfast in the morning was pretty good too! However, I noticed throughout the night that I felt a bit sick. Then I realized that the lamp shades were covered in mold - indicating a high volume of mold spores in the air I was breathing. Realizing mold is growing in your hotel room is one of the most unsettling feelings. This was in room 213. I really hope this is resolved because mold can be super dangerous for both guest’s and staff’s health.

Nice quiet area near everything we saw

This was near enough to the Gardens, the Sloss furnaces, and other attractions not open during our stay. We were near enough to a shopping area to pick up some forgotten items after dinner one night. Yes, we'd happily stay here again. We've found plenty of activities for a future visit.

The hotel was very clean and nice. The breakfast was great. Nice hot breakfast. The bed were not super comfortable and the fridge was not plugged in. The pool and fitness enter were also not open because of covid. Staff was very nice and service was good.
