Terrific Find, full kitchen
Avaliou em 20 de Outubro de 2021
We chose the TownPlace Suites after reading reviews of several motels in Big Spring. This has to be one of the best motels we have ever stayed at in 4 cross country road trips over 30 years.
First, check in was a breeze, we didn't get in until evening with no reservation. Caleb checked us in and gave us exactly what we asked for, top floor and away from the elevator.
Upon opening the very heavy door (the only con about the place), we were thrilled to see a full size refrigerator/freezer and kitchen area complete with a dishwasher, sink, two burner stovetop and complete set of dishware and silverware. We brought up our ice chests and were able to put everything in, very helpful when traveling cross country. Full size coffeemaker in the room too. We had our own meal and were able to eat it at a full size dining table instead of on our laps on the beds.
The beds very comfortable, the outlets were numerous for all of our electronics, the internet worked well and tv was easy to operate.
The bathroom was all inclusive, meaning the sink vanity was in the bathroom with the toilet and shower and not in the open area with the beds.
Breakfast in these covid times was ok. We were served by lining up at a table and asking for items from a list. The only thing hot was sausage patties, they were out of any other hot offering. Big bin of granola bar selections, bottled water, small oranges and apples. They had packaged muffins but were out of some flavor choices too.
Also, there was a huge outside area including a bar b que and you could check out all kinds of cookware and essentials to use during your stay. We didn't notice or look for a pool.
And the price was very reasonable. Way better value then the other competition in the area.
The only cons were the weight of the doors to the rooms, they were very heavy and hard to prop open to bring in your bags. And the easy chair in the room was soiled.
We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. And in fact are looking for other TownSuites as we go across country.
Beautiful, Clean and Friendly

We stayed there just for the night but I will be back. Laurence who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and clean. The back patio is beautiful and inviting. My kids loved the basketball court. My dog loved trying to chase stray cats. The breakfast was hot and fresh and the lady serving it was very kind and helpful. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. This was a 5+ stay.
Fine Hotel, but now charging a parking fee

I have stayed at this hotel many times without any issues. This stay was fine -- check-in was good, room as clean -- nothing out of the norm. My surprise came when I received the bill with a $7 parking fee.
This hotel is not in an urban area, has plenty of parking in a non-gated lot. At no point did they acknowledge the parking fee in signs or at check-in.
I did see it buried deep at the bottom of the reservation. On my way out I asked when they started it – I was told a few months ago and it was “not the hotel, but higher ups” and they did not remove the fee. At the end of the day its $7, but I will stay at the hotel nearby, but its just a bs money grab to avoid a rate increase.
Stay for the Kitchen

Full, well-equipped kitchen is a plus, no dining table a minus. Comfortable bed and clean bedroom. Toilet malfunctioned - had to use bathroom of room across hall. Close to I-20. Friendly front desk. Grab and go cold breakfast with weak coffee.
Not enforcing mask policy

This hotel has a stated policy that masks must be worn in public spaces inside the hotel. When I checked in, I noticed several other guests who were not complying with the policy.
I spoke to the woman at the front desk and she explained that they were not enforcing their mask policy.
If you are concerned about your health, do not stay at this hotel.
