Can i just say some of the bad reviews are OTT , Yes it might be a bit outdated and need doing up here and there, dont most hotels it takes time and a lot of money , but this hotel the manager ( Ralf) was pleasent all the time to my brother and I , The best breakfast ive ever had from any hotel ive stayed in and ive stayed in loads worldwide , The coffee was brilaint, the young lady and the other staff smiled and were really nice. Bar drinks excellent in price ,.

Please read before booking if you are coming with young children

This hotel is no good for families with young children, there is no lift we were put in 2nd floor over 3 flights of stairs we were moved down a leave which was much better but room still not the best. The hotel is next to 2 pubs which on a weekend kick out between 3-4am the windows don’t shut so very noisy. 5 parking spaces No crossing so have to dodge traffic After asking to move rooms the manager seemed not to be interested in talking to me or my family. The decking is very slippery after it has rained The bins in the room get Emptied daily but no cleaning in 5 days If you bring buggies your have to leave them in bar area be careful the owner will lock the door to bar sometimes so you can’t get it. Good points - very central and next to a tram stop. - breakfast was hot Bad points - photos look nothing like rooms or restaurant - beds awful and bedding and pillows - not clean - steps going up to reception so not practical for bugggies - there is parking but only 5 spaces and it was next to sewers - 2 bars next to hotel on a Friday and Saturday night are open till 4 am - breakfast very basic 1 egg,1 bacon, 1 sausage, 1 hash brown and beans. Toast and choice of 3 cereals. - no entertainment in evening - shower awful - handles falling of furniture - windows don’t lock very bad for safety especially for Children and very loud on weekends with music From pubs and drunks shouting - light bulbs didn’t work or missing - cups chipped and dirty on tea tray ( never used) - rooms not cleaned only bins emptied We didn’t spend much time in the hotel or room as we didn’t feel very welcome from owner after complaining about the room I rang 4 months in advance to ask if we could bring a travel cot for 1 year old and was told this would be fine there was a double and a single bed in the room in both rooms but you could even walk around beds so no room for travel cot to put up. No wardrobe to hang clothes up and draws were Dirty inside. If we could of afforded it we would of left and gone somewhere else’s. £90 a night is a lot for this place only 4 rooms out of 40 rooms have a sea views the rest u might be able To see it if you hang out of window. I get it’s central but not worth the money.

Worst hotel I’ve stayed in ,not one redeeming feature even the central location is spoiled by the drunk people outside keeping you up till 4am ... the room smelt fusty and the bed was like sleeping on a bed of nails . The place needs a full refurbishment new staff

The state of this hotel is a disgrace, nasty decor & a smell to match. The rubbish is piled high at the side of the building underneath the room windows. Bar closed ( not busy enough...?) Breakfast would be served in a cellar if you are there between 9am & 9:30, we entered at 9:28 & the landlord advised he had put it all the bin as we arrived late????? A horrible scruffy man to match the hole he lives in. Can't believe this place is advertised! We stayed 1 night & stayed out as much as possible. Please don't look at the photos on line, it's nothing like it! There are many more decent hotels in Blackpool that far out weight this hotel. Give it a miss and enjoy your break elsewhere.
