One night too many
This was meant to be a stop over on the way to Cornwall, we were greeted by about 11 young men standing in the doorway, this was a bit daunting to say the least, The room was clean-ish, the bedding was very clean, unfortunately the young men from outside decided to stand outside our window with even more friends, no social distancing there, no masks either, it was an experience not to be repeated.
Terrible!
My Wife and I stayed for two nights last week and we will never stay again! We entered the room we were staying in and we were greeted by a horrendous smell. I can only describe it as a mix of smells, that seemed to be smoke (in a non-smoking room) and wet dog! The fire alarm was covered by a plastic bag and we found dust on the surfaces and carpet, hairs on the bedside tables and used cotton buds left in the room! When we went to speak to someone about our room, no one was at the desk during the day. I can't believe that during a pandemic, cleaning standards are non-existent! We sent an email to the company regarding our stay and they never bothered to email us back. I can't understand how they are still in business! Please avoid this place!
Quick Stop Off
You pay for what you get here. Rooms are quite old and need a little TLC! However for the price it’s reasonable for a quick over night stay. Shower didn’t work that great but did the job. Would advise to bring your own pillow as you only get one very thin pillow.
It does what it says on the tin
Basic room but really clean and the bed was very comfy. You cant expect luxury at a motorway services overnight hotel and we didnt get it but we were well looked after and got a food voucher to spend in the services as the hotel had no hot water on the night we stayed. Reception staff were friendly and helpful and we got a good rest before carrying on with our long journey.
Very pleasant stay...
We have book here a room for 1 night, the only bad thing we had to check in between 3pm to 6pm (not sure if is due to COVID-19 as I didn't have an option for this), well maintained, staff friendly and helpful. Free plenty of parking spaces, beds comfortable and good black out curtains. Coffee and tea on the room and TV. Plenty of places to have breakfast there as well. Will book in again for sure...
