Upscale Well Appointed Hotel

The Blarney Woolen Mills Hotel is an upscale hotel with high quality rooms and amenities. We stayed in an Executive Suite that was very nicely furnished with a king sized bed, full leather couch and two comfy sitting chairs. The Full Irish Breakfast was hot and fresh as was the specialty coffees. Fresh baked goods, yoghurts, fresh fruit etc. The hotel is adjacent to the woolen mills with easy access to quality Irish goods shopping. I would definitely recommend this hotel to those that don't want to fight the traffic in downtown Cork.
One of those places you cannot wait to return to!

We stayed at Blarney Woollen Mills Hotel celebrating our 2nd Wedding Anniversary & we both agreed on having a wonderful and very comfortable experience.
From the moment we arrived until leaving, staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating.
We were made feel right at home!..
It was spotlessly clean, hotel decor felt so homely and traditionaly Irish (loved the book of kells artwork along the corridors)
- A lot of effort was put in line with the Autumn Season!
The room was warm & cosy - with plenty of space. Every day of our stay we were supplied with new towels, bottled water, and extra tea & coffee.
The shower was amazing, fantastic pressure, full sized bath & shower supplies- It felt very luxurious.
I had access to a large impressive gym each morning which had all the equipment anyone would need.
The choice for breakfast was endless and simply devine! , as was the choice for food in general ( you could have full dinners, soups, sandwiches, pizzas, ice cream...) - Afternoon tea in the lobby!
also a lovely italian pizzaria nearby, as well as a Chinese, local chipper and a Centra.
A lovely long stretch of walkway nearby & of course Blarney Castle is just across the carpark! - Beautiful Gardens and so much to see, I thought it was a little expensive but definitely worth spending the day there!(I returned the 2nd day) - nice cafe and gift shop on site too! - there is a converted post office now turned cafe just at the entrance, super friendly staff. I just ordered coffee to take away but their menu looked very appealing! - home made cork produce, just cant fault it!
A trip to the Woolen Mills ended our trip fantastically - a huge shop with classy, top quality wear and gifts, I was delighted with the service and my purchases.
There is a bus to cork city approx every half an hour from outside centra, 2 mins walk from hotel!
Obviously we will be back, cannot fault a thing!
Blarney Woolen Mills Hotel had exactly what I wanted, all in the one area - combined with the wonderful hospitality of the hotel staff, I simply cannot wait to return!

I cannot say anything negative about this hotel, lovely comfortable bedroom, yes it’s dated but that’s not negative, en suite was great with amazing shower. Breakfast was the best I have seen, great choice and different menu. Good in Christys Bar was excellent and staff very attentive.

The good points were bar staff were very friendly and bar food was very good with very generous portions. Location to castle is perfect if you need to stay close by. The cons though…reception staff were quite rude and asking them where breakfast was produced a sigh and eye roll. They seemed exasperated at having to check us in. Room was very dark and plain. Small double bed and outdated bathroom. We planned to have the afternoon tea but everything in reception seemed an effort so we didn’t bother. Breakfast is actually in the cafe opened to the public and overall it seems focus is on the shop, cafe and bar and the hotel is just about having somewhere to sleep. Not a hotel I would want to stay in again.
Relaxing weekend in a beautiful place

Spent 2 nights relaxing here with a friend for a long overdue catch up. What a beautiful place. Walking in the door of this hotel immediately makes you smile, it’s stunning. We had dinner in christys pub, which was included in the price we paid. It was superb. I highly recommend the lamb.
We decided to indulge in afternoon tea on our second evening & once again, I highly recommend it.
Breakfast both mornings was wonderful.
I honestly can’t think of anything negative about this hotel. Fantastic value, beautiful surroundings & wonderful food with lovely staff.
