Soccer tournament
Stayed here for a Saturday night because my son had a soccer tournament. Room was spacious and clean, ate at the brews brothers for dinner and it was good, breakfast cafe in the casino lobby was limited but fresh and good. I went to the casino that night and it was hoppin. One craps table, blackjack, baccarat, some others..only machine roulette tho. Lots of slots of course. Face masks required but u can take them off to drink/smoke. Overall a fun place!
Never going to improve
Been gone awhile. Not much has changed. Had to clean a big mess off one of machines, but no biggee. Only way to win is to spend hundreds. Got a bonus on a higher bet and didnt even win $3 on it the last time was here.
No Sanitizing!
We visited the Isle of Capri casino two times in the past four weeks. We were there three hours each time. Not once did we see a staff member "wipe down" any of the machines in spite of what the website claims. Also, though people haven't been able to go to casinos for months, the machines are not paying anything; it's discouraging to visit after so many months and not have a good time nor feel safe.
Overall Nice Hotel, Casino is Smoking .
We stayed one night. Never been to Boonvilke, MO before. A cute, quaint town that in another trip it might be nice to see... We didn't arrive until late..6 hours of driving...Check in went smooth. We had a King non-smoking room. It was very nice. I loved the bathroom. It was spacious, clean and everything you could need was accessible. Hair dryers right in wall, hangers for clothes, etc. The restaurant was already closed. The casino is a casino, it takes and takes and takes. Frustrated at spending over $100 and not getting any payouts or ANY bonus on the slots. It is smoking and some machines were turned off, but not sure social distancing was in effect. Some people wore masks some didn't. Only negative for me, its a little walk from hotel to cadrino. I have walking limitations and it was a bit much.. Overall though, we both enjoyed it and would probably come back.
Sanitizing the Casino - WHAT A JOKE!
We stayed at Isle of Capri, Boonville, on June 2, 2020. The room was clean and I loved the location - the first floor so we didn't have to take the elevator and risk contacting any virus germs. But the casino itself....WHAT A JOKE. The Management at Isle of Capri had stressed on their web site about how the customer's health was of paramount importance and when I was there, while there were several workers walking around with cleaning cloths in their hands, they would only walk up to a machine and rub the cloth all over the viewing screen and the buttons used to play the slot machine. But NEVER did I see them clean the cloth as they moved from machine to machine with the same cloth, transferring whatever the cloth had gathered to the next machine and the next and so on down the line. Th e cloth was never rinsed nor did I ever see any sanitizing sprays used. So, in effect, what I saw was the workers were transferring whatever their cloths picked up from one machine to the next machine and then the next and as far as they went. I did mention to one worker that she had failed to sanitize the handle that is to be pulled to activate the slot machine. She simply replied "Oh they don't work", when, in fact, I know that they work as I have used them. Get your act together, Isle of Capri, and start practicing what you preach about a clean and safe casino.
