Just spent a night at this comfortable hotel and everything went smoothly, as so ofte with Mercure! Nice room, good bathroom, comfortable bed and, big bonus, a kettle with coffee and tea! We always stay here when visiting Bourg. Good breakfast with super Nespresso coffee! Ten out of ten!
Such a pleasant surprise
Loved this little hotel in Bourg en Bresse. Clean rooms, albeit little outdated bathrooms. Restaurant was top class, wonderful service and food. The only suggestion is they dim or soften the lights a little. Breakfast was excellent as well. They offered free massages when we arrived which was a bonus for my wife.
Nice hotel shame about restaurant
Stopped here yesterday, plenty of car parking spaces. Nice clean hotel very friendly reception staff. Nice room basic set up. All the necessary facilities, bathroom shower. Tea and coffee, good aircon and comfortable bed. TV if you want and safe for valuables. Nice breakfast although a bit expensive for what you get. The only let down was the overpriced restaurant salmon starter, small pieces of salmon. A lot of salad leaves filling up the plate 14 euros.. Not worth anything like the price. Also when we arrived we stood around for 5 minutes then had to ask if we could sit down. Then we waited a further 20 minutes before we got menus. No offer of water or drinks until the food order was taken. This was badly organised, there were only a few people in the restaurant so not busy at all. My wife had the arribiata pasta. The pasta was well over done and the sauce was from a tin. Not very clever, nothing like the real thing. But they charged up market prices.
Un séjour mag - a perfect stay- wunderbar!
A perfect hotel - to me - is a place that makes you feel good. And that is the team, the spirit and third location and comfort. - Our special thanks to the manager who seems to have a magic gift by choosing all these wonderful people! From the reception, the waiter/ esses, the cleaning staff! Thank you for making my hard day so great! You are Mercure! And also this lovely city with a great lake to cool down! ( Thank you for the info!) - Room ( privilege) renovated , clean, all perfect. A bit more products for two people would be fine! Even a bit more water... - Dinner was AMAZING, thank you: Not only the kitchen, but waiters, and all the ladies! BUT WHY NOT LEAVING THE BILL TO SIGN? How can we give a tip? This is an absolute no go! These people deserve it, and we kindly ask the manager to do this! We have been to many Mercure, etc but this is unfair to them! - Sleeping quality excellent! Quiet, comfortable and the shower new but difficult to handle:) - Breakfast: Thank you for helping us , this is an architecural desaster! No space for the food! Poorest area- so the waiteresses do all they can! If you sleep long, as we do, not much is left! Food waste is bad! But if you come at 10 on weekend- you are left with almost nothing! PLEASE BETTER UP! We recommrnd this hotel for all: Families , couples, travellers! It‘s run by wonderful people! BUT PLEASE WORK ON THE WESK POINTS..... and give the cleaning women a decent hoover! We will come back soon!

Very good modern hotel, good breakfast with a very good location for visiting Bourg en Bresse and the area around. Restaurants are very close or you could have a meal in the Hotel. Very close to the hotel is a large supermarket for buying anything you need and also sells petrol cheaper than normal roadside or supermarket prices
