GREAT OVERNIGHT STAY

Avaliou em 18 de julho de 2022

Booked here as it was very close for a family visit for a Party. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating, Tina runs a great B and B and there is an antique shop as part of the B&B. We will return whenever we are in this area. The Room was a spotlesly clean Double on the ground floor, which is good for my knees. There were lovely Toiletries and nice Towels, everything matched in the room and Tea and Coffee facelities were also plentiful with a flask of chilled water on arrival. We had a great nights sleep as there were lovely pillows and the bed was so comfy. We would recommend this quaint well run B and B.

Comfortable accommodation, delicious breakfast and antique shop.

Very nice, clean, comfortable room with great assistance from very friendly guesthouse hosts - with always the willingness to go further than just a mile to do all means they can - to assist. Delicious breakfast being served in the dining area within the antique shop! Worth browsing antiques during my stay. Will definitely come back again. Strongly recommended.

Convenient location to get around Devon by car. Free on-road parking (6pm-9am only) outside or local car park along the back road (2 min walk); parking charges outside those hours. Alternatively park considerately for free anytime in nearby Sett Close and then walk through alleyway into main street. Local Tesco Express and other small shops for local produce. The couple who own this B&B are very pleasant. The downstairs room is recently refurbished and very nice, with on-suite facilities. The upstairs double room and facilities is a classic example of English B&B rooms in the 1970s. It is clean and 'cosy'. The associated 'private' bathroom is along the corridor and is clean & presentable. The shower consists of a mixer tap in the bath but no hook for the shower head or curtain....so effectively no shower unless you sit in the bath. The 'private' bathroom is **NOT** private, as the owners use this discretely if the downstairs room is let out. Breakfast is variable, generally fine, but it seems cooked breakfasts *have to then be* microwaved prior to putting in front of you, regardless of when you come down for breakfast, with variable results. The new downstairs room may be worth the cost, but the upstairs double room plus breakfast is definitely not worth the approx. £75 ppn currently charged. The owners are pleasant and the rooms are clean, but we definitely wouldn't go back.

Friendly and Central

The room was comfortable and clean. The B & B was central on the main street, although no on site parking, there is a car park near by. The breakfast was great. This is very convenient for the moors and Newton Abbot.

We arrived in Bovey Tracey in the rain! We eventually found a lovely little tea room where a cream tea soothed our spirits. We the walked to Courtenay House to check in for our bed and breakfast. We were given a lovely welcome, shown our room and given our breakfast menu. We parked the car unpacked and had a meal in the fish and chip shop opposite. Our bedroom was charming. We spent a very comfortable night in a lovely bed and it was lovely and quiet. Breakfast was eaten in amongst a huge collection of antiques and was copious and very tasty indeed. A peaceful night's stay with a lovely breakfast and attentive hosts.
