My wife and i just spent two nights in a Kimpton Armory Suite in Bozeman. The amount of bird droppings on our suite window and on the architecture outside our room was alarming. It was an architectural disaster that created the perfect stoop for birds to poop down five stories of glass and suite architectural elements. If you get a suite, do not plan to open the shades, The hotel lacked leadership and management. There were a lot of nice young kids standing around happily doing nothing, clearly not having been trained in any sort of hospitality leadership. it was as if the hotel lacks a general manager. Fielding's, well let's just say there's a reason it's online ratings are what they are. Our breakfast service was terrible. The food was fine, but the staff kept cautioning us that they closed in 10 minutes, yet there was no apparent rush to take our order or feed us. Our plates were served several minutes apart, although we could see the hat dish under the warming lamp while the other was served. Complete obliviousness to the fact that we were paying guests hungry and ready to get on with our day. We had a dinner reservation there the second night and smartly ducked after the server spilled my wife's martini on her plate. The bartender had no idea how to make a "dry martini" so she drowned it in sweet vermouth thinking that would make it "dry". The mussels appetizer were good, but we opted for the Urban Kitchen across the street for the rest of dinner. The restaurant was dead at dinner and after a drink and an appetizer it was easy to see why. Again, it is a beautiful physical plant, with a young, inexperienced but friendly staff. Would i stay there again, yes, but in a high floor room and not in a bird dropping ladened suite. Would i eat there again? Definitely not until they have matured into the Bozeman food scene. There are many better food options in Bozeman, but not any better places to actually sleep.

Grand start to our Yellowstone Tour

Flew in a day early for a group tour and stayed at the Armory for the nite. What a treat and a great beginning to our Winter vacation in Yellowstone! Fabulous corner room with sweeping views of the mountains. Walking around downtown discovered the Bozeman Distillery, bought a bottle and enjoyed a bit of Montana whiskey in the wonderful cocktail glasses provided in the room and had thick, pleasant to use tumblers for water in the bathroom. Slept well and awoke to a dusting of snow on the mountains that we continued to enjoy from our windows. Not inexpensive, but we felt a good value for the experience. Just took a peek at the top level with it's jaw dropping views and it would be an exceptional place to enjoy a cocktail and sunset.

We stayed at the Kimpton Armory as it was the host hotel for a business conference. They were fully on top of every aspect of that conference, which was wonderful. When I return to Bozeman for fun, I would absolutely consider the Armory due to its friendly, accommodating staff, fabulous location, and overall top notch decor and amenities. Hope to have the chance to visit again!

Beautiful space, good coffee in the morning, convenient to downtown Bozeman. Dog friendly. Valets were always super helpful including Andrew and Malcolm. An item that could be improved is Internet is great for surfing or social media but not great for video conferencing.

The service at the Kimpton Armory is excellent from the moment of arrival. The valet parking makes bringing a car easy, the staff is professional and friendly. Our room was spacious with fantastic views of the surrounding mountains. As always the coffee service and evening social hour are great ways to begin and end the day. We particularly appreciated the service from the valets, Malcolm and Andrew.
