October in Budapest
What a beautiful city! We were privileged to stay at the Petnehazy Club Hotel, located in an isolated and forested area. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed for a week's stay. The grounds were well maintained and beautiful with good places to walk, the people who were at the reception desk spoke enough English that we were able to ask the questions that we had. Even though it's a bit out of the range of the great transit system in Budapest the hotel has a morning and evening run to the transit center. When we missed the hotel run we were able to take a taxi. I hope that I have the opportunity to stay here again . The restaurant was convenient and the food was great.

Must take the river excursions it was excellent as was the bus trip around Budapest the resort was very well maintained the grounds were great to have a stroll around also the restaurant had an excellent choice on the menu
Holiday at Petnehazy Cub Hotel in Budapest
The resort is nice and peaceful. However, it's rather far from the city. So guests/visitors must have transport to move around , especially if you want to visit the city and its attractions daily. There's not many things to do at the resort other the spa, tennis and walkabout. So having your own transport is a must. Moreover, you can also visit neighboring countries like Austria and Slovakia which is about 2 - 21/2 hours away.
Great getaway
We spent a week here prior to picking up a river cruise. The hotel has wooden cabins well equipped for basic cooking and warm and comfortable. Although outside the city, the quiet location in woodland is worth it. The hotel runs shuttle buses to the city which work well. The ordinary bus is about 10 minutes walk away. Recommended if you want to get away from the bustle of the city but still want to be able to visit the centre easily.
Nice resort in hills just outside of Budapest
Beautiful peaceful setting in hills just outside of Budapest. Spacious 2 bedroom cabin with well stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. Nice tennis courts and indoor and outdoor pools along with wet and dry saunas. Lots of good hiking trails. Easy to walk 13 minutes to bus stop and get to Budapest within 45 minutes. Several grocery stores within 5 to 10 minutes of resort.
