Conhecendo Los Angeles

Poor Customer Service

Graveyard front desk staff not willing to accommodate, rude, arrogant, and wasn't interested on our issue. Stayed there from 08/29/21 - 09/01/21. Traveled with my family. We arrived at LAX a little after midnight, after getting our car rental, drove to this property and arrived about 2:30am. We had reservations for 08/29/21 and since we were Marriott Platinum members we never had any issues with checking in early. After a long flight and my family was tired, all we wanted to do is check in and rest. Not at this property. The front desk person, didn't allow us to check in, even though they had available rooms and then suggested to call back at 7am where someone can help. We asked for another person aside from him that could help us, but he said that the only staff onsite is him and the maintenance man. Therefore, if this "front desk" person had to use the restroom or if there is an emergency, I guess the maintenance man would be it. Nonetheless, he wasn't concern about our current situation and basically said, just find another place to rest until 7am. However, he did offer us a room for $260.00 + until 7am, and said it with a smile. I did call back and spoke to another employee and explained my dilemma and that person was able to check me and my family in right away. However, the room assigned us was small and both windows were facing a side of a wall = no view at all. I'm sure the person who had the poor customer service did this to us on purpose. Eventually we did contact the front desk to change rooms. I am a loyal Marriott customer and an resort owner and I've never experienced this poorly type of customer service when visiting any Marriott properties and next time I visit Burbank, I'll make sure to either stay across the street at another hotel or stay at another Marriott property that isn't this one.
Friendly Staff, Convenient Location

Stayed here for a week while my husband was on travel for work. Hotel is 10 - 15 minute walk to restaurants and Burbank Town Center and a short drive to neighboring cities. We were able to drive to Hollywood, Malibu and Griffith Park Observatory within a reasonable amount of time. Our room had a nice view of the mountains. The fridge and microwave came in handy during our stay. Front Desk, Housekeeping and Breakfast staff were all courteous and helpful. Because of Covid, breakfast was grab-and-go with breakfast attendant handing you your food items and drinks. Basic breakfast included egg, turkey sausage, fruit, cereal, pastries, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, juice, coffee and tea. Hotel and room was very clean. Ben and pillows were very comfortable. Room was spacious and easy to move around.
Husband enjoyed using the pool and fitness center. Parking garage is attached to hotel.
Extremely poor visit

Old, outdated and filthy. I checked in to a 2 bedroom suite with my 7 week old baby. First thing I notice is that the air condition is really loud and I wonder how I’ll be able to sleep. I go to call the front desk to change rooms. My baby is sound asleep so I park him in the living room while I go to the bedroom to call the front desk. While sitting on the bed I see a man in the living room and my baby starts to cry uncontrollably. Apparently he’s the maintenance guy. He didn’t even bother to knock, just helped himself in and started talking to me like it was nothing. It was actually really, really scary. I asked him over and over why he didn’t even knock but he kinda just laughed at me… While this happened I was on the phone with front desk, who kinda couldn’t have cared less about it.
Right after that happen the maintenance guy shows up to take a look at the air conditioning. He tells me not to bother switching rooms because every room in the hotel has the same AC setup and sounds the same. He told me to not have it on or on fan only. It’s an excessive heat advisory this weekend so I don’t really want to sit in a run down hotel without AC. He leaves after he turns the fan on the AC on, a couple minutes goes by and the noise is back again.
That strange man appearing in my room above my baby incident along with the hotel being in the shape it is made me cancel my stay and hop across the street to a more accommodating hotel. Never again.
