Little Owl room was comfortable with everything we needed and some lovely extra touches. The staff all went over and above to be helpful, they did an excellent job. They were all very friendly too. One word of caution is that the towel rail does get incredibly hot and there doesn’t appear to be a way of turning it down - there is a warning sign by it though.

Open fire and decor was lovely and the service was very friendly and accommodating!! All 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals, all had different things and everything was great. I had the burger which was fantastic. Will be back!!!

Nice little touches, some issues

We had Eagle owl room. It was beautifully presented with some lovely touches including a nespresso machine, fridge with fresh milk, juice and a little drink each, crisps and sweets. The bed was not very comfy unfortunately. 2 singles together so you felt conscious of turning over in the night. Bathroom looked nice but closer inspection the grout needs a good scrub to be honest. Safety concern .... We tried to work out how to switch the towel rail off or down but couldn't. Later on i burnt my knee on it sitting on the toilet. It actually blistered and took 2 weeks to heal properly. In the morning I don't think anyone was around to tell as they leave a breakfast hamper the night before. We left by the side door. I did ask my hubby to tell someone as he made the booking, but I don't think he has and its a potential risk that it could happen again to someone with long legs (it's right by the toilet). So hopefully someone will read this. Our breakfast hamper was nice, though i felt like a couple of choices on booking or checking in might be wise to ensure contents are going to be suitable. Enjoyed breakfast in the room and appreciated the little extras, though the room was not cheap. Really did not enjoy meal in restaurant, but that's a separate review and shouldn't reflect on the one for the room.

Beautuful Hotel, room was gorgeous, had everything we needed and more, especially all the little extras. Fabulous breakfast, made even more special by the incredible views from the dining room. The best part of the whole stay for me though, was the outstanding manager, Rosie, who went above and beyond, to make our stay special. Rosie, take a bow, you are a star and you are a great role model for your amazing team.

Fantastic place, beautifully decorated and the food was both reasonably priced and fantastic with a good choice of meals including vegan and vegetarian . Staff were very attentive and the atmosphere was great . Well worth a visit.We will be back!
