Thankyou to John and all the staff at the Black Boy Inn for hosting this landmark exhibition depicting a historical event. Thank you Ruth for all your help with getting the exhibition up. Such an ideal spot to end this vibrant exhibition with.

Really clean , tidy old world pub. Good menu. Staff were good and friendly . Food was excellent. Tasty, good portions, well presented. Location was within the walls of Caernarfon. Big extension at the back. Near the castle. Can’t book just turn up

Was recommended the Black Boy inn as a good place to eat in Caernarfon. We were not disappointed at all. The pub serves a good selection of beers, both local & national. We had a meal in the restaurant and it was fantastic. The food was excellent, freshly prepared and very tasty. The best thing though was Eryl, our waitress. She was absolutely fabulous being both very efficient but also prepared to have a laugh when she wasn’t busy. Thoroughly recommended.

The staff make this hotel, couldn’t be more friendly and helpful if they tried, nothing was too much trouble, this doesn’t mean the room wasn’t up to scratch however, super clean and roomy with very comfy beds and everything you’d need for your visit and the bathroom was huge (we were in room 2) Now let’s talk about the food, we ended up arriving quite late on the Friday evening and even though the lovely receptionist had taken the time to ring to tell us the kitchen would probably be shut when she realised we would be late, we were still made to feel very welcome in the restaurant and enjoyed a delicious meal and quite possibly the biggest slice of cheesecake I’ve ever seen. Ended up eating two nights in the end as the food was so good (They even packed us all sandwiches etc to take one morning as we were heading out early to a triathlon before breakfast service started) Such a great place all round and will definitely book again should we head to that part of the country again. Short break away , amazing quality

A surprisingly pleasant little hotel. The room we had had much more space than anticipated and a massive, comfy bed ! ( I think we struck lucky with a disabled room so got the extra space) The room came with a little kitchen and fridge etc so you could take your own food and stuff without relying on local amenities. Everything was lovely and clean and the staff were friendly . Breakfast was included and dam was it good food ! If you stay in this area and need somewhere good to stay I strongly advice here ! Staff are friendly , everything is well kept and the food is delicious! Only downside is parking is charged per night or you have to park around the corner on a public car park which is free between 10pm and 10am
