Decepcionado
Terrible outdated place. Run away.
It is the worse 4* hotel I have ever been in Spain, and I travel a lot. It is severely outdated in many aspects. The rooms are old-fashioned, and the ambient is, to summarise, the epitome of decadence. It is a hotel that seems aimed to the state subsidised elderly population, so they seem not to care much about regular customers. The spa services go at extra charge and with a very limited schedule. If you're a foreigner please do not select this hotel for your short stay in this wonderful country. If you are a Spaniard, not even try to go over there. Not even close to a luxury spa-hotel.
Steer away from this hotel if you're under 70
This may have been a grand 4 star hotel in the past but that was many years ago. Hotel is old, faded and aimed at catering for the elderly. Temperature is way too high in all rooms, central and ours. Upon entering our room the temperature was set to 25 degrees Celcius. We could turn off the heat in our room but that is not possible in the rest of hotel. Way too hot, overall. But the other guests seemed to like it, since they were all over 70 years old. In fact, opening a window to get in some fresh air was severely frowned upon and closed within minutes. Bar opens at 19.00 hours. Why, I don't know. I guess the elderly don't drink. Food is mediocre, and served without any enthusiasm or friendly service. That is another big flaw of this hotel: the people working here have no interest in you, what you want to eat or drink, or in any way make you feel welcome. And, they don't speak a word English. Hotel room was big but outdated. Clean bathroom but towels are at the end of their lifecycle. Bed was horrible with sheets and blankets. The smell in the entire hotel is of bleach, and sorry to say, bathroom smells. The location is nice but the park and pools surrounding the hotel need serious work. Outdated and forlorn, just like the hotel itself. For what you pay per night, there are plenty of alternatives available.
Nursing home
Bar opens after 7! So no drinks till then It way to warm inside. You can bake a egg on the heater . It’s a elderly home the gardens are badly maintained . So if your over 70-80years old perfect under that I hope you enjoy the smell of retirement home!
Comfortable; quiet
Comfortable and quiet; I had a big single room and plenty of hot water. The bar/lounge area is especially nice for small groups of all sorts. I tried the mineral water baths but was not impressed but I am not familiar with such things. It seems the whirl pool could have been warmer.
