Las Termes Victoria y Caldes de Montbui
I spent three days in this lovely place in the middle of January this year. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. As soon as I had settled in, I took a walk through the premises downstairs. The dining room is a sight, if there had been sunlight, it would have shone in colours through the stained glass windows. The views were excellent. In the basement is a termal spa, with all the modern amenities you’ll find in 5 star hotels. Note though, there is an extra fee.All the bathrooms feature termal water, I ‘d recommend to take a long hot bath. The hotel’s exterior is worth to explore, the garden is well preserved and there is a pool area. The town of Caldes de Montbui has its own attractions, I love the old town, the walk past the local vegetables gardens, the immmense church in the middle of town, etc. The restaurant “Robert de Nola” serves Catalan dishes of very high quality. Loved my stay immensely.
Misleading customers! Booked on hotels.com and showing modern rooms when in fact they give you old rooms coming from the 70s. Walls are so thin you can hear absolutely all your conversation neighbors. We didn't sleep at all! Let's talk about the thermal service... Reception told us the only option to try the thermal bath was to pay 42 euros! A lie when you check it costs only 9 euros for 30 min. The breakfast... I am sure in prisons they have better options! On a positive note, the location is great, yes I found one at last!
Nice Hotel - Lovely Spa
Hotel was nice enough, staff were very pleasant although it seemed mainly to be for elderly people. The spa was absolutely lovely. Food was average but only had the evening meal. About a 45 minute drive to Barcelona.
Great Classic Hotel With Great Tapas near by
great hotel and a great tapas restaurant around the corner. The staff was great but best to get a room not on ground level facing the street as can be a bit loud depending on the time of week. I didn't use the pool or thermal places but did on my visit before this one and greatly enjoyed them
One stop for the Caldes experience
The staff was friendly, but it was loud at night, like really loud...loud enough the front desk heard but didn't quiet them. However, the pool is amazing with great smelling flowers and black bee things with blue wings! We did have the prixe fix dinner one night and it was better than expected. Be sure to go to the spa especial. Staff isn't super familiar with local attractions which is a bit disappointing. No pool towels, you have to ask for extra and they put a hold on your credit card (which is fine, just annoying). I would stay again though, even with that being said. Also, one night in bed my hubby and I heard water hitting the floor, we called the front desk and they said they'd check into it, but didn't seem concerned at all. The next morning, there was a giant water spot in the bathroom...just makes me concerned of mold. Oh, I forgot to mention the balcony had a great view and was super nice to chill when everything was closed in Caldes during mid day. One more thing, the bathrooms were set up awkwardly--the door wouldn't open all the way because the toilet was in the way and the shower was coming out in the middle of the tub.
