Great traditional French hotel everything you need for a great stay. The owners were so polite and could not do enough for us. Excellent location for the skiing and cycling. Would definitely recommend and it’s restaurant.

Tour of Pyrenees

My wife and I stayed here as part of out tour around the Pyrenees for 1 night. The Auberge sits right on the road to Pic Du Midi and offers restaurant, rooms and camping. There are a couple of terraces where you can sit an watch the world go past whilst you eat and drink. There a lots of tables and seats on two small terraces so it could be cramped if busy. You enter via the dining room which is dark and cosy and the sense of being rather cramped continues. Lots of tables spread around 2 dining areas with a lot of stuff on the walls and edges. It was very quiet when we were there so this was ok but I would feel hemmed in if it was busy. Although early the very friendly waitress / owner booked us in and showed us to our room. Whilst I see that some of the rooms have been reconditioned I am not sure ours had as it was small and dark, but spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfy. Our room was at the back and was very peaceful. The shower was small but lots of hot water and good pressure. As most have already said the food here is great home cooking and delicious. The family who own this Auberge were all friendly and helpful. This place is great value wonderful food in a beautiful setting. Despite its drawbacks, I would happily return

Perfect mountain stopover or base

This hotel is rated 2* but is immaculately renovated and spotless - the level of comfort is better than we expected. Stunning location ideal for the Tourmalet or touring the Pyrenees. The evening meal served in the cosy restaurant was a highlight - simple food made with fresh local ingredients and a lot of heart. The family who run this place are genuinely hospitable, helpful and welcoming. Excellent value for money overall.

Supper was already cooking when we arrived and Madame showed us to our room, which was plain and spotless, comfortable but not luxurious, and we had a very good nights sleep. We had to leave without breakfast, but supper was great, all guests served the same and a big party of locals, such generous portions that we couldn't finish and the waiter told us off playfully. A very pleasant stay.

We had to plan a last minute family lunch in the area and found this auberge on TripAdvisor. This was an awesome experience ! The owners are so nice and friendly, the kitchen door is always open and you can see that everything is made from scratch with simple natural ingredients. The servings are generous and the price could not be lower. The foie gras is to die for ! The place is simple, this is not a fancy restaurant, but is has the charm of authenticity. This is now one of our family's favorite address in the region.
