Lacking for a 4 star property

Stayed for 8 days with family. A few things were too bad to oversee and have an enjoyable experience: 1. NO WIFI This is a must when the majority of your guests are international. Completely unacceptable 2. HORRIBLE COFFEE When not providing a kettle with tea/coffee facilities, at least clean your coffee machines or fill it with proper coffee beans to have a drinkable cup of coffee 3. HIGH FEES TO PLAY TENNIS Considering it’s summer and all 1000 of your tennis courts aren’t in use, perhaps lower the price or provide the tennis rackets complimentary? 4. NO WATER Since there’s no water in the rooms (!!!) don’t force your guests to go to the supermarkets downstairs to buy water. Looks very cheap to see everyone doing it as it’s so overpriced in the restaurants 5. NOT ENOUGH POOL BEDS Rooms with beds/terrace doesn’t have umbrellas and there’s not enough beds at the pool, so everyone wakes up at 6am to lay their towels and book it and even when the leave for lunch they leave it there (management should look into that).

Perfect holidays in Mallorca minus some minor snags...

We stayed for 13 nights at S'Entrador hotel on Full Board basis, 3 adults and 2 children (14 and 8 yo). Overall, very pleased with our holidays. More details below divided among 'good', 'bad' and 'ugly': GOOD: - Staff: all staff, from room cleaning ladies, bar and restaurant waiters, reception staff to Jens, the Director, were welcoming and helpful. Special thanks to Colau, the Deputy Director, for sorting out our room issue promptly. We were offered two adjacent rooms but when we entered we were shocked by the smell of sewerage. Colau promptly offered to change the rooms and, in the meantime, upgraded one of them to a room with terrace. - location: the hotel is the closest to Agulla beach and on the edge of a pine forest - rooms: small but clean and modern. Rooms are cleaned on a daily basis if you are not in the room when the cleaning ladies pass. - food: varied, tasty and lots of healthy options. Show cooking 3 times a day. Fresh fish and meat options for grill offered at lunch and dinner. Vegan and vegetarian options, salad bar and fresh seasonal fruits. - Nice sauna and fully-equipped gym although steam room operated for 3 days only during our stay. Tiny indoor pool. 6 tennis courts and a kids spa. - Quiet and relaxed stay. Not much entertainment, but better for us. No loud music or rowdy teenagers. Hotel occupants were primarily families with children and older couples. BAD: - Very little information on the hotel website which is surprising for a 4* hotel. Mostly photos and irrelevant info. - One needs to pay for certain items, which you find out at the hotel only. Tennis courts can be rented at EUR 17.50 per hour which is onerous. Spa is available to 16yo +. You need to pay to rent the room safe (ridiculous, in my view). UGLY: - The worst thing and the reason why I cannot rate this hotel as a 5 star review is that one needs to pay for water. I am ok to pay for beer, wine or cocktails, but water??? A 0.5L bottle of still water costs EUR 2.30 in the restaurant, while 1.5L bottle costs 50 cents in supermarkets. Many hotel residents are compelled to purchase packs of water bottles and carry them to their room, which should not happen in a 4-star hotel. My advice to management: round up or add some EUR 5 per room/night, but provide drinking water to customers. Other suggestions if you stay in Cala Ratjada: we truly enjoyed visiting Capdepera fortress, Arta churches and market and the Caves of Arta. The beaches nearby, like Mesquida, Canyamel, Font de Sa Cala and Gat are worth visiting. We also climbed to the St Jaumel Tower which offers incredible views.

Definitely not 4 star! Appalling service!

Definitely not worth the rating given to as on Internet! Even having gone in off-season when the hotel is not even 50% full and having staff the service was appalling! Long waiting for drinks especially and Note the following message: you cannot pay with he card at the bar; you have to go to the reception and pay the bill, bring it back and then only can you have your drink. All this nonsensical process lasts minimum 20 minutes by the time which one gets frustrated! Bar closes early too and you can't really party later as people get angry. Food was good but everything else was so bad that one really cannot enjoy in the place which is supposed to be tranquil! Nobody really also was interested in helping and trying to solve the problems moreover blame game was the method to avoid providing the service and really not seen before in a 4 star hotel! Moreover Water not served as complimentary and should be paid using from the mini bar which again seems very strange and atleast I haven't experienced before! Very strange and disinterested staff and service I should say! Please avoid!

Good & not so good sides

I've been there as a single guest for one week beginning of June 2019 with booked half board. Room: I was in a single room, which was realy small with a small balcony, where was a little chair and a very little table. So there is no chance to take a sunbath on the balcony on a sunbed. A little bit bigger single room was first offered to me (with also a small balcony), but was located in front of a crossroad, which was relatively loud due to traffic (as my stay was for the purpose of vacations, you do not want to have it like that). The walls in the room seem to be very thin, as you hear everything what your neighbor talks, really every single word while he we was on the phone. Snoring at night included, for sure. I doubt that other rooms have thicker walls. The mattress on my bed was perched, so sleeping was not comfortable. TV was quite small, but okay. Bathroom was okay. The climate system was leaking, water dropped on the floor. The technicians had to come 2 times to fix it. Breakfast & dinner: Was okay, big buffet, nothing special, no highlights, no lowlights, average quality for this hotel category. Every day some specials, like fish or beef. Served coffee is not the best. Always a nice fruit buffet, which was good. Reception and staff: All of them were very friendly & helpful. You get the feeling that they really want to help you, and that's good. All of them could also speak good German, which was also helpful. The tour guide and the tennis coach were very friendly and competent as well. I've liked the trips and the tennis sessions. Conclusion: Hotel with pros and cons. I was mainly disappointed of the room and therefore would need a very good offer to go there again.

As my title says, this hotel is wonderful. From the lovely receptionist who checked us in everything was great. Housekeeping do an amazing job, the staff in the restaurant and bar are attentive. The chef on the grill is friendly and patient. The spa is a real treasure and a great way to spend a couple of hours relaxing. A lovely week away in a lovely part of Majorca
