Booked DBB but still waiting for my £30 dinner voucher. They charged me the full amount. They said they will reimburse my card with £30 but it has not come through. . Parking is away from Hotel and not £11 as advertised but £30. Staff cannot be faulted, helpfull and friendly. Spa facial was excellent, the supreme manicure 5/10. I had booked a pedicure for the next morning but had to leave due to an emergency and they did not refund me or offered to postpone the date or offered me a voucher etc.

Stayed here for one night as a birthday surprise. From check in to departure, everything was faultless. Our room was large with superb floor to cling windows overlooking the central courtyard. We had dinner in the sorting room and I can only praise the chef, it was one of the best meals I have eaten in a hotel. That said, it was all the staff we met that made our stay. They were interested and interesting and nothing was too much trouble for them. We will definitely be staying here again.

We booked a Junior Suite which was huge! It was more like a small apartment, with a large lounge, King-Size bed and 2 TVs. The bathroom had a separate shower and bath, with Jack and Jill sinks. The comfortable bedding and pillows made for a very good night's sleep. The breakfast was very good, with a choice of cooked Welsh, cereals, fruit, cold meats and pastries. If you are attending an event in the Principality Stadium, this hotel is practically next door, so it is in a fantastic location, with the Cardiff Central train station only 5 mins walk away. I really appreciated the large fluffy towels, you don't often get those in hotels, so this was a good touch. The small fridge was also handy to pop in the complimentary waters in this hot weather. Would recommend and would definitely stay here again.

The booking was a bit shambolic, getting cut off, then only acknowledging the treatment not the lunch and thermal experience despite having paid in full. Nearer the time I was rung to change the time of the thermal experience, no choice just informed it needed to be made. This is why I have given 4 not 5. After this inauspicious start we can say we thoroughly enjoyed both our meal and spa treatment. Our waiters were both very attentive and the food was delicious. Special mention to Merron (sorry if the spelling is incorrect) my therapist. She was very knowledgeable and the massage is one of the best I have had. My daughter also said the same about her therapist. Thankyou both, we will be back. The spa is small but very limited numbers are allowed in at any time.

Really enjoyed our stay of 3 nights at Parkgate Hotel in Cardiff. Hydrotherapy Spa was so relaxing, and helped my back. The bars were lush. Comfortable bed. Large shower with Elmis complimentary products. The room was clean and tidy apart from dust on the table and window. Table was cleaned on day 2. Facilities in spa where good, lockers hairdryers and the area very clean. Hotel was in the fantastic position of bars and restaurants. Recommend revolution bar. I would avoid Zizzi Italian restaurant. Food not good and didn't have mozzarella! But was refunded. Corner where we sat was dirty, not sure if they were rat droppings. Over I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family.
