Day Trip Here!
Avaliou em 1 de fevereiro de 2020
This was our last stop during our day trip around Rizal and Laguna Provinces. Entrance fee is 100 pesos per person here. There are pathways along the lake which we used during our walk. Took a lot of pictures during our walk. We noticed a big, clean swimming room. We also visited 1 house here that has 2 rooms. There are 3 beds inside the room. Rent per night is 1,400 pesos.

Great view of Caliraya Lake but the resort is showing its age...

Seems we were the only ones checked in despite saying at booking sites that the hotel was almost fully occupied. We booked during a long weekend, Eid al-Fitr. We checked late like 6-7pm. I commend the staff/reception for following up with our booking and making our dinner, since the kitchen closes at seven pm. We were given the best room for the best view of the lake. But it was arduous since we have a baby with us, lugging our things through the pathway to the rooms. After the exploring the well maintained grounds, we realized how big the resort really is. Must've been popular in the 90s or something. Now they usually cater to company outings, team-building and such. Food was great, they accommodated all our needs and the staff was polite. They need to update their decor, improve the door lock system and get new towels, bedsheets and covers.

went here to check out their place for an overnight fishing trip in lake caliraya. found the place okay, but the rooms (at least what they showed us) smelled old (stuffy) and needs some improvements. we decided to look for another place to stay instead.

FAMILY TIME

Booked in a cabana with 2 units in a connecting door for our family of 5, sharing a veranda overlooking Lake Caliraya. It was a day after a tropical cyclone, so we expected wet gardens. Good enough that maintenance staff started clearing the area, and I just love the smell of freshly mowed grass. The cabanas are old structures, but the bathrooms are renovated and refurbished. The bed is comfy, extra pillows are in the cabinet. You can bring in food and drinks, there's a fridge and coffee making machine. There is no free wifi, and it worked well with us, minus the gadgets, your family gets to enjoy cuddling together in a single bed and do activities together. There's COLD pool, a gameroom (table tennis, billiards and pool table, dartboards) however not much maintained. Well, dont expect much in this resort, just make do with what's available and enjoy the simplicity of things. 3 set meals are included in the booking fees, so less worry, you just have to order/choose from the menu beforehand.Take an hour boat ride, you can rent for P2,000. It can accomodate up to 10 people, but we decided to rent it just for the 5 of us. The view is relaxing. Overall, it's a good place to relax.

Ambiance is eerie and a bit haunted

We went here for a seminar around 2011 and the place was nice for business meetings because they have good avp room and beautiful lobby. Rooms and amenities were okay, too. Food was awesome. But something in this place I find a bit off. I don't know why but it felt haunted to me. I felt the place was too quiet and too eerie. It reminded me of mystery films wherein group of friends will stay in a remote place and something weird will happen (something like that, although none of it happen to us). I guess it's because there's a lot of trees everywhere, and the place obviously looked tired, old, and rusty. The place was very picturesque though and it was huge and spacious so you can walk around and enjoy the lake view. At night, the place was so quiet, and not in a good way. I felt so all alone in my bed (although we were three ladies in the bed room, and ten more coworkers in other rooms.) All I can hear was the wind and the trees outside. I even have to call my boyfriend in the middle of the night just so I can relax because I could not sleep because of the eerieness of the place. Then the next morning, my colleagues told me they felt the same thing. They were all scared, too. To be honest, I don't see myself going back to this place ever again. I think they should rennovate this place, make it more alive.
