I booked my stay prepaid through the Choice website. I frequently stay at Quality Inns and understand they are a budget hotel. I typically just need a place to sleep for the night and so don’t need much nor do I have high expectations. When we arrived, they did not have my reservation. The front desk person didn’t ask me for my confirmation number. He just insisted I didn’t have a reservation. When I gave him my confirmation number and insisted he look it up, he told me I had cancelled my reservation. (I would never bother to take the time to cancel a prepaid reservation that does not give me a refund if I cancel it.) When I insisted I didn’t cancel it, he then told me it was automatically cancelled because my credit card was declined. He said this had happened to “7” other reservations that day. All this time, he didn’t offer to book me another reservation. I finally asked if he even had a room for us. Yes, but he would have to charge me the current rate, not the lower rate I had booked and prepaid. He would not budge, offer a compromise, or recommend I speak with a customer service representative. I booked a room there for the night (with the credit card that had “been declined.”) The hallway was dingy, the floors were filthy- I dropped something on the floor and had to get down to find it. The light fixtures on the desk was missing a light bulb, and the fixture near the bed was about ready to fall off the wall. I will never stay here again. I would never recommend staying here. And I hope the hotel administration insists this man take a customer service class and pass it before he is allowed to work the front desk again.

They canceled our reservation, could see they canceled our reservation and then charged us $10 more for the same room. Also while waiting the front desk stated they canceled 7 other reservations because their credit cards didn’t go thru. I don’t know if their credit card machine is broken or they’re just scamming people, but I would go somewhere else.

I was debating on whether to give it one star or two. The place is definitely a dump but the extra star is because the front desk staff was nice. Here are some pictures and like they say pictures speak louder than words . To begin with there was hair all over on the bathroom floor, the smoke detector was covered and taped, used coffee packet from a previous guest was still in the coffee make. We did not even bother to report it to the desk because we had asked them for a lower floor room And they had said that they were sold out and this was all they had. Also there was a used band aid next to the bed which means housekeeping is not doing their job. I am surprised it has a flag, don’t know how long before it will be gone . I am thinking none of the franchises would want this no matter how low the brand is in their hierarchy.

The outside looks great but as soon as you walk in you see ladders leaning on walls, plastic buckets scattered around, boxes everywhere. It looked like the lobby was someone's house who were either just moving in or in the process of moving out. My room (#106) was disappointing, to say the least. It looked very beat up and just overall depressing. The ice machine was in the other building and up a flight of stairs. Really? It's 104 degrees outside. Just tell us you don't want us to use the ice machine! The "hot breakfast buffet" was actually a pre-prepared sack breakfast with cold items. It was healthy and sufficient but not what I was expecting. The only machine that was operating in the breakfast area was the coffee machine (decent coffee). I had booked the hotel (pre-paid, non-refundable) and then a couple weeks later I see the price drop by $40 on their own website! So I messaged (corporate, not this particular motel) and asked for a refund for the difference or at least a credit for a future stay but I've yet to hear back. That said, I understand it's "under renovation" so if you see me paying a higher rate than most people then why not give me a renovated room (if they really exist as it seems they've been "under renovation" for several years now). I've seen enough Hotel Impossible episodes to know exactly what the problem is: cheap owners that don't hire professionals. You can tell by the shoddy paint job, for example, that they didn't hire a professional painter to do this. The sink smelled like a sewer and that's probably because they didn't hire a professional plumber who would know that the P-trap was dry (you need water in the p-trap to create a barrier to prevent gasses from emerging). Anthony Melchiorri would have walked in and walked right out of that motel and probably challenged the owner to a fist fight in the parking lot. I recently stayed at a Comfort Inn in Fresno for only like $20 or $40 more and it was awesome! In fact, this is the reason I chose this motel (my second time booking this brand). Clean rooms, great breakfast, etc. Lesson learned: Quality doesn't equal Comfort. Hopefully the owner(s) will learn "you got to spend money to make money."

Gold member. Room 1st floor. Really poor. Stayed here 2 years ago, pre-covide. Under renovation. Still under renovation. Lobby full of boxws. Hall full of boxes. Walsl beat up. Room walls beat and kicked up. Shower ??? faucet and handle covered with "white" blotches.Avoided!! Checked bed for bugs, found none. Room walls beat, kicked and pretty poor. All furniture looked like out of Bates Motel. Poor!!! Surface of night stand and desck covered with dried gunk, Had to scrub just to lay glasses down. No coffee in lobby. Alleged breakfast to go but never saw anything. Really dissapointed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. WILL NOT STAY AGAIN. Dump.
