Worst anniversary vacation ever!

Reserved a 1 bedroom suite on 4/15/22 for a stay 4/26/22 - 5-1-22. I received a voicemail 30 minutes before arriving that they didn’t have a suite available. They told me that their maintenance man had quit 2 weeks earlier and they couldn’t get one of the AC units to work. Because of medical reasons I reserved a suite so that we could get good sleep. They offered a room with 2 beds, not an option. I explained that we needed to be able to close a door between us so they gave us 2 rooms. Townplace Suites doesn’t have connecting rooms so we may as well stayed at a normal hotel. Wife’s room had roaches and furniture that had been chewed up by some animal. Reported that to front desk and was told “we will take care of it “. My room wasn’t serviced for 4 days and I had to get coffee packets from the desk every day. No liquid soap in shower dispenser. My reservation total for the stay was to be $996.00. My credit card was hit 3 times for $610 each. Two charges hit the card while I was trying to check in and 1 1/2 hours later I got the third charge. Breakfast was a joke. Scrambled eggs for 2 days were good. They alternate with precooked “fried eggs”. Saturday morning I made a plate of eggs and bacon but when I sat down, my wife said to touch my eggs. They hadn’t completely thawed out yet. I told the kitchen about the issue and was told that they couldn’t keep up with demand so they put frozen eggs in the warming pan hoping that on one would complain. Never stay there again. I traveled for a living and have stayed in over 8,000 hotel rooms. This is the worst hotel stay in 45 years.

Good location and clean rooms but rest all sucks

Good location but hotel and service can improve a lot. Positives Great front desk staff and manager Clean rooms Fast service Negatives Room was missing few basic things - Refrigerator did not work, iron wasn’t there, all the coffee was decaf, instead of body lotion they put shampoo Breakfast - while they offer decent breakfast, they were out of few things for 3 days and of my stay - no salt, no butter, etc. they were out of all this, and no one cared to get these for 3 days. Salt and butter are basic items and a staff could have got it from a nearby store as a temporary measure.

The staff is very rude and dishonest. Can’t believe I tipped the maid only to be treated like a fool. I have stayed in many hotels due to the military, federal contracting and leisure over the span of 15 years and this hotel has been the worst Marriott property I have been too. Will never be back to this low class “establishment”.

Awful experience so far after 3-weeks

Since our check in, we have had awful service. The breakfast is mostly nonexistent and out of food by 8am or before. If you want coffee, get there before 8. I’ve asked for the manager on 2 occasions and they’re always busy or not available. We’ve been here and our room has been cleaned 2 times after begging to have it done. We’ve gone to the front multiple times and multiple days to inform them that my room has not been serviced and requested that they make a special note to do it the following day, only to find it not done yet again. And during my four day stay, my room has not been visited by housekeeping the entire time. I have gone to the front desk three separate days to inform them that my room has not been serviced and requested that they make a special note to do it the following day, only to find it not done yet again. The staff offers us towels and sheets if we want to make the bed. This is also a non smoking hotel and the first floor hallway reeks of cigarette smoke. There are no checks and balances in place and no one available to hold the staff accountable. If you plan to stay for more than one night, go somewhere else.

Poor Staff Service

Since my initial check in, everything else has been terrible service. The breakfast area is dirty and largely out of food by 8am. The staff is chronically missing from the front desk (I even found them once watching TV in the lobby like a guest when I hollered for them at the empty counter). And during my four day stay, my room has not been visited by housekeeping the entire time. I have gone to the front desk three separate days to inform them that my room has not been serviced and requested that they make a special note to do it the following day, only to find it not done yet again. The staff is happy to offer me towels and even sheets if I’d like to make the bed myself (what am I paying for??). When I finally asked for the managers number on day three, I was given a voicemail which was never returned. And finally, on day four, when I asked why my room wasn’t serviced for the fourth day in a row, I was told that it should have been and that Marriott doesn’t have a customer service number for him to give me. I am beyond furious about the service at this otherwise decent property. Feel free to stay here if you like empty breakfast bars, missing front desk staff, and cleaning your own room.
