We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was very clean and spacious. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had traveled to Hixon for a funeral and needed a late check out which they allowed us to have. We would definitely stay here again!
Excellent Value
Clean, comfortable, conveniently located, this motel is an excellent value. We spent 2 nights, and would return. The parking lot is adequate, but a little tight. Those with very large vehicles might do better elsewhere.
One night stay
Stayed here on a business trip. The room was clean, and check in was easy. Our main concern was the fact there was no smoke detector in the room. There was a hole for it and wires that were capped but no detector. Check out the lady covered her cell phone long enough to take our room keys and then got back on the phone. This hotel seems like they were renovating it and then just stopped.
In need of some TLC
When we checked in, there were kids running and screaming in the lobby, which was off putting, as we had spent several hours on the road through heavy traffic and construction. The ground floor hallways had bits of garbage on the floors, which is not usual for this chain. Renovations have been done in the rooms, but the carpets need a good cleaning. The linens are not the crisp white you expect and the towels are old and tired. Breakfast is the usual. If you only need to spend a night, this place is ok. The usual areas where guests go are clean, but don’t go into stairwells, etc. They are desperately in need of work. The owners do not seem to take much pride in this place.
Great staff experience
We had reservations thru a third party for this hotel. Upon arrival, they had a room for us, but not what was advertised by the third party (we were told this was a glitch with the third party, as the hotel has never offered that type of room). Unfortunately, they were unable to accommodate our party. Ressa (the desk clerk) worked diligently on trying to help us out. My family was hungry after traveling all day, she let us eat in their breakfast room while she was assisting us. Ressa was so helpful I felt guilty upon leaving. Next time through, we will definitely stay there. *Ressa also indicated they are in the process of renovating the hotel. What we saw, it was very clean and tidy.
