2nd stay here great hotel clean and great staff and location is good tea coffee and biscuits and breakfast is great cooked breakfast and toast jams and cearel thanks again in town so shopping as well easy parking

Excellent value for money, polite and friendly staff, lovely hot well cooked generous breakfast. The bar prices are more than reasonable. Nice clean room with more than adequate amenities, next door to an indian restaurant.

£45 for a night for two including breakfast. It has everything you need, for a one night stay for two and extra tea bags and coffee. It’s not fancy but id rather have clean, which it was! Staff informative and help full. Thanks

I recently stayed at 'The Oakland' due to business trip. I was pleasantly pleased. Great location, everything you need on your doorstep. Lovely friendly staff. Great breakfast (consisting of coffee, tea, selection of juice, cereal and a cooked breakfast.) Very reasonable price. The only negatives I found, was hotel is a little dated in decor in places. And, yes you can hear the evening entertainment in the bar below ( this was mainly as we had our window open). This does not stop this accommodation being worth every penny. I would definitely recommend and I will be hopefully staying again very soon. Thank you Oakland's.

Stayed again for 4 nights as working local , Upgrade of room to 4 poster bed , Tremendous breakfast with friendly staff , Great parking over the road free, Chinese, kebab , Indian, fish and chips. Plenty to eat and drink, Bar with great locals 100 💯 stay again
