OMR guest house.. not recommendable.

OMR guest house is located in the.old mahabalipuram road, chennai. I reached the place after a hectic journey in the tnsrtc bus. I booked this guest house online and when I asked about the people there they don't know about this place. Finally with the help of google maps i reached the place. Upon reaching there i realised that it's just a service apartment and some part of it is being used as the guest house which is mainly used by long term inhabitants. The room allotted for me was in another block from the reception. Room was neat, provided with double cot and neat linen and television.i had booked for ac room but the room was provided an old wall mounted pathetic ac which was not at all working. The bathroom was horrible with full of stains and an old bucket. Room boy told me to call the reception for any help but later he realised that the phone was not present there. So finally he told me to call if anything from my mobile for which he don't know the number and told me to check the booking voucher.sleep quality was very poor and it's full of mosquitoes. I actually.planned to stay there for one.more night, but all these made me leave the very next day morning. Rates are low when we book online, but it can't help us out of the suffering we have there. I won't recommend this place to anyone.

The rooms of the hotel are distributed over several blocks of apartments and there is no lift. The rooms appear to be a bit old and overused. An overall is badly required. The service is average and the quality of food is OK. The Internet is complimentary and it works. Overall an average place on a low budget.

This was my worst hotel stay ever. Worst front desk service. Dirty room, bed. Water geyser didn't work. Very rude front desk receptionist. Not good at all. Got only bad things to say about our stay. Never ever go for this.

I stayed at this hotel for 1 day. First of all, it took 1 hour to find this place as no one in that knows about it. Secondly, this is not even a hotel. Some guy running this place by taking an apartment and renting out the rooms in it on a day basis. It doesn't have a name board even. The staff and reception is worst. Avoid at all costs.

Perhaps the only good thing I could remember about this guest house, was its location, right on the main road. Other than that it was a forgetful stay.... Rooms were below average. There was no parking, so we had a bad time with that... Room was cramped.... Water in the taps was pathetic, a problem I guess in the whole area... Overall, would not recommend to anyone....
