I've rated this hotel as "very good"... why? because it's of great convenience. This hotel its cheap, the place is run by locals that probably don't speak English (maybe not even Spanish), the rooms are small, there's a parrot that curses, but... its clean, it has on-site parking, and it's located only at few steps from the main square and to the boats that take you to the Grijalva River (Cañon del Sumidero).
If you're looking for a comfort-all inclusive resort kind of experience, don't stay here, if you're more in the adventure side-backpacking-low budget traveling plan, this is the place to stay.
Good for 1 night!

It has very good qualities like location, right in the main square and walking distance to everything.
Clean and safe for you, your luggage and your car.
It has A/C and a big fan.
BUT... very hard beds (stayed at room #9) the shower sprayed water all over except the shower and since our room was next to the main street early noise was an issue.
We only stayed 1 night since the town is very small, and are not very particular about these things, but I guess that other rooms might not have those problems so I advise to call ahead and ask, I did and was not surprised when I got there.
Convenient location, poor everything else

I stayed at the Los Angeles for two nights, which is by far the cheapest Hotel I've stayed in during my Mexico trip. Cheap in the sense that it costs only about 30 Dollars the night, and in the sense that for this you only get the worst room in the whole building, which is no. 1. It's right next to a public bathroom and the reception staff lets loads of People from the street enter the Hotel to go to the bathroom. These constantly rattle at door no. 1 also, ignoring the room number over the door and hoping they might find a second bathroom behind it. The room itself is a hole without a window in White and dark orange colours. Everything in it is old. Since it is right on the main plaza and life in Mexican villages happens on the plaza it is of course relatively loud until midnight.
The good Points: It is in Walking distance to the embarcamiento for Canon del Sumider, it has two adorable green parrots in the Lobby that speak to you and the cleaning Service does a good Job. You can have breakfast on the premises and it is good and cheap and they have a protected carpark for their guests. I can recomend the Hotel as a starting Point for Sumidero Canon (by the way - gorgeous) but don't stay longer thän a night.
Happy for one night

I stayed in Room 1. Double bed with bath, fan, a/c, TV. The staff treated me very well, even with my very limited Spanish. There are people there that speak English. I was shown the room before they would let me say "yes" or "no". The rate was 410 pesos per night. The bed was comfortable and I slept well.
The hotel is located right on a corner of the main plaza so everything is convenient. Easy walking distance to the docks for the boats to the Sumidero Canyon. The Market is around the corner. Santo Domingo is within a block.
For what more could I ask?
