A Great Spot in a Local Neighborhood

My first trip back to Chicago on two years found me staying at this delightful inn in the North Halstead area. My family was nearby, so it was the perfect choice The property is a turn of the last century Victorian home on Halstead Street. It's close to local transport, I used the bus to get around with no issues. My room was cozy and quiet, with an ensuite bath. There was a coffee maker in the hall, and a mini fridge in my room meant I had easy access to provisions. There's a Jewell Osco supermarket close by, too. The neighborhood is vibrant and lots of good places to eat are nearby. I had dinner my first night at Lark, just next door. Be sure to check out the magic show Trickery, just a few doors away, for a fun night out. We were surprised by a light dusting of snow during my stay, but that just added to the ambience. Definitely loved my stay. As a single woman traveling alone, bed and breakfast inns always felt safer and more comfortable. This lovely spot did not disappoint.

All I can say, is that I highly recommend the Villa Toscana. The stay was quiet, comfortable, clean, and affordable. Was in town for the big Dead and Company two-night show at Wrigley, and will stay at the Villa Toscana every time visit Chicago. The best part is that it's located in the heart of downtown Boystown, which made it a super close walk to Wrigley Field. Ronnie, the host with the most, was super informative and a pleasure to deal with.

We had some free-time surface in our busy season, and sought lodging in Boystown. We were elated to find availability @ The Villa ! Innkeeper Ron was immediately responsive to our request, and couldn't have been more accommodating. The place & our room was quite nice, and we CHOWED down on the lavish spread for breakfast fixins : hot and cold. Ron took special effort to sit down and visit with a couple-a tubes like us . Ron is well connected with the fabric of the neighborhood with kicky chit chat.

My friend and I spent a couple of nights in this cozy B+B in the heart of Boystown, just steps from the nightlife and yummy restaurants - terrific location and great prices. We stayed in the British Colonial Room, which had a nice queen bed and a comfy day bed for my friend. We never had to wait for the bathroom/shower. The innkeeper Ron was terrific, helpful, kind. A great weekend!

Comfortable and Quiet

My partner stayed at the Villa Tuscana in 2014 and recommended it for our trip to Chicago. We arrived on a Sunday night and found our room comfortable and quieter than I expected. It faces the garden at the front of the inn, which leads to busy Halsted St. The inn is tastefully decorated with an elegant living area and adjacent kitchen area. The continental breakfast was good as was the coffee. Our room was upstairs and shared a bath with two other rooms. We never saw any of the other guests nor did we have any issues with access to the bathroom. Overall, it was a great experience.
