Shabby room, tv didn’t work, noisy. Smoke from people smoking outside our non-smoking room came in through air-conditioner. They emailed us ahead of time to confirm the pet fee was $15, but when we checked-in they charged us $20.

I do not recommend this property. There are so many better options available in the Christiansburg/Blacksburg area. This property is billed as a "hotel," but is actually a "motel," with outdoor access to the rooms. Having to go out in the rain and around the building to access the lobby was unpleasant & inconvenient. The stairwell and other outdoor areas were dingy, dirty, and poorly maintained. Our hotel room was musty & damp. The rod to open the room darkening curtains was broken. The toilet was not securely adhered to the floor and wobbled when you sat on it. The room was very dark & cave-like with terrible bathroom lighting. Lamps were bolted down to the table and desk (as if we were going to steal one!), so we couldn't move them at all. We had a regular room with a king bed & pullout sofa - The pullout sofa-bed was incredibly uncomfortable - felt like a bunch of springs with a blanket on top of them. There was no closet - only a very small armoire that was too short to hang a dress without it dragging on the floor. There were also no bathroom shelves or under sink storage for my toiletries, makeup, etc. The hotel-provided toiletries were tiny and not enough for 3 adults staying in the room. Rooms and common areas were very dated/tired looking. I can't even say it was well priced, as we stayed during VA Tech graduation weekend and it was $438.11 per night (incl. tax), which is obscene for what we got. If I had to come up with some "pros" I'd say the regular bed & pillows were pretty comfortable, the room seemed clean, and the staff we encountered were pleasant.

Clean room, comfortable bed, good breakfast. Although right next to interstate, we could not hear road noise; since our room was on the side of hotel facing away from I-81. Jimmy at front desk was personable. The "breakfast lady" is delightful, smiling, helpful, and kept the busy area replenished and tidy. We shall return often; as we head to VT the next four years!

Quality Inns are part of the Choice Hotels brand. If you travel a lot and don't mind staying a lot at chain motels on the interstate (long on value, short on warmth or charm), joining their club can quickly lead to some great bargains. This was definitely the case for me -- plenty of amenities for the price. My room had full bath, phone, AC, radio-alarm, fridge, microwave, hair dryer, iron & board, and TV with over 100 channels. Room was clean & well-maintained. Staff was polite and efficient. Free amenities include parking, wifi, and a skimpy breakfast. If you just need a place to stay for a night or two, particularly if you're driving down Interstate Highway 81, this can be a good bargain.

A great hotel for a great price!

This hotel has everything you need for an overnight stay except for an elevator. It is very large & has 2 floors with rooms that open from the outside. Our room was clean & comfortable, the staff was very friendly & the hot breakfast was filling & tasty. This was by far the least expensive & best value hotel we stayed at on a 12 day road trip through the south.
