I recently spent 2 nights here with friends. The location seemed odd to me, right in the middle of a shopping area, but it turned out to be a super convenient location. The staff were all friendly. The rooms and lobby were clean. The bed was comfortable. There were good options for breakfast. The omelet was excellent, as was the bacon. We were in town for a re-union of old friends. It was nice to be able to hang out in the lobby one night after dinner. Plenty of seating for good conversation. There were 2 things that keep me from giving a 5 rating. 1) One morning, when my friend and her daughter went down to breakfast, the bacon was gone and she asked if more was going to be brought out. She was told no. Once it's gone, it's gone. Mind you, she wasn't eating breakfast at 10:00 am. It was about 8:30 am. 2) The noise level in the rooms. I could hear noise from every room around me. Talking, the tv, moving of furniture (at least that's what it sounded like), etc. Not to mention the slamming of the doors. Not that people were slamming them intentionally. They're heavy doors and if you don't hold them when they close, they're very loud. My suggestion: bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. Thankfully the second night wasn't as noisy as the first night. Overall, a great place to stay and I would stay here again. (with earplugs)

Great Hotel in a Great Location

This is a very good Holiday Inn Express location. The hotel is extremely clean and perfectly located in a shopping and restaurant district of Colorado Springs. You can literally walk to countless restaurants, bars and shops, without any transportation. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious, and staff very is very helpful. They serve a good complementary breakfast, the only drawback is the pool is currently closed. I highly recommend this Holiday Inn Express location.

Very upset, missing personal item

My husband and I traveled and spent Thanksgiving with our family in Colorado Springs. My son’s home is 5 minutes away from hotel. We spent 4 nights at this property and the staff was polite and the rooms clean. Unfortunately, I realized on my way home I had left a new and expensive pair of pants in the hotel room drawer. Coincidentally, my husband left 2 sweaters in the closet and they were returned and picked up by a family friend who was also staying at the hotel. I was told about the two sweaters when I called to have them locate my pants. Oddly, they could not locate my pants . I made several calls to the hotel before they assured me that they were not found. They did ,however, inform me ( after I specifically asked)that the 20$ I left for housekeeping was found and the nightstand drawer ( which my pants were in ) was open. I was sincerely remorseful and quite nice considering I am positive that the J Brand pants were left there . I have never received a call or any communication from the hotel expressing any concern. I worked in hotels for years and understand that customer is not always right. However, I know FOR SURE they were removed from our room. Sad to think that there is an employee at this hotel who helps themselves to a guest’s property. Even sadder that management doesn’t feel compelled to make things right with a guest. Something I forgot to mention , when they had someone check the room again ( because I kept calling) they did find a 20$ necklace I left in bathroom and sent it to my home. I opened the envelope hoping to find some accommodation for the incident. Nothing ! The necklace was taped to a piece of paper and they didn’t even write a little note saying they were sorry that i am missing something. Just so unprofessional. Finally, I waited over a week to post this , hoping the management would follow up and offer me some sort of accommodation. They did not.

Great hotel!

This was a great hotel, in a fAntastic area! First of all, the hotel is incredibly clean, well kept, and spacious. Second of all, it’s located within the First and Main shopping center. There are so many areas to explore and dine at. We stayed for 3 nights, 2 of which were a suite that we were upgraded to. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed during a really bad snow storm, the town was shut down due to the storm and COVID restrictions. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and had everything we wanted. Was alittle disappointed with the breakfast but due to all the restrictions it was understandable. We will definitely be back!! There was so much to do around the hotel you really do not need to drive anywhere.
