Not in the greatest part of town (sirens can be heard going by throughout the day) but exceptional service from Brittni during the day and Latisha in the evening. The property has very clean rooms with convenient kitchenettes and always felt safe. It’s one exit away from the back gate at Ft Jackson and two exits from the main gate. If you’re in town to conduct business on post, you can’t beat the location. Would definitely consider staying again.

While I am not from here, just came to visit family, I loved the location. It is surrounded by many restaurants, and convenience stores. Also, just a few miles from base. The staff were very nice. I asked for a late check out to wait on my flight and they were able to assist. The overall experience was great especially the rooms, which had new amenities and I love the toiletries they use.

The hotel is very nice upon entrance. My room was very clean, the beds are nice and comfortable. When I asked for extra towels, the housekeeper did not hesitate to accommodate me. The hallways are kept cleaned and smells great.

We were visiting our daughter who is a freshman at UofSC. Upon checking in, the room had a terrible odor. It smelled heavily of smoke. However, we stayed positive. Until…we checked out the next morning, and I left a pair of expensive shoes in our room. Only an hour or so after checking out, I called to report the lost item. I got the run around and was told I needed to talk to someone in Housekeeping but they weren’t in because it was a Sunday and they were under-staffed. I was assured the room hadn’t even been cleaned so my shoes would surely be found by Housekeeping so I just needed to call back the next morning which was a Monday. I continued to get transferred or put on hold and then disconnected each time I called back to inquire about my shoes. It was not a matter of whether or not my shoes were left behind. They were in my room, and I knew right where they were. My daughter even went to the hotel Monday to ask about the shoes, and the front desk clerk scoffed at the idea of finding the shoes. After two weeks of being told they were still actively looking, I was told today, “Oh, well. I think it’s safe to say someone took your shoes.” Is this acceptable behavior for hotel staff? “Oh, well?” We will be returning to Columbia often over the next 4 years, and I know where we will NOT be staying. I will also make sure our family friends steer clear of CANDLEWOOD Suites on Atlas Road. I am very disappointed. Do better.

Good Stay, They are renovating.

On our way home we booked this hotel for 1 night. Check in could not find our booking at first. We received the keys but the number on the card was the room next to us- We were horrified for waking up out neighbors at0:30 am. Room was great, clean and we slept well. This hotel is being renovated and we will be back as everyone was very friendly.
