Beautiful property and hotel

Outstanding hotel and beautiful property set in County Kildare. The staff are so friendly and professional and the food offerings were to the highest standards in terms of quality and cuisine. Yes it’s pricey, but in my humble opinion well worth every penny and perfect for a special occasion or short break. Please give it a try and enjoy the beautiful mill pond and accommodations Cliff at Lyons has to offer.

Staff were incredibly rude and abrupt! It was our third time staying there and the other two stays were magical. This time we were so disappointed and frankly shocked at how we were teated, especially by a person who is a managerial position.

A bit disappointing. food in Mill restaurant and Pantry excellent. Staff in bar and restaurant very helpful and friendly. Beautiful buildings and gardens. Warm space while waiting on room to check in would be nice.

Stunning Stay

I stayed with my husband for one night and it was just wonderful. We arrived early the afternoon and borrowed the bicycles from the hotel and had a lovely cycle along the canal beside the hotel. We checked in properly when we retuned and the staff we so friendly and helpful, the young gentleman who walked us over to our room was brilliant and told us all about the history of the property. We stayed in a Lily Pond room (The Lyons Suite) and it was the most beautiful hotel room I have ever stayed in. The decor was stunning, it was spacious with a massive bed- and had a beautiful big bath in the room! The bedclothes were incredibly soft. The view out from the room onto the pond was dreamy. the bathroom was also gorgeous and the toiletries provided smelled amazing. We had a few drinks in the bar and the cocktails were delicious ( I had at the Valentine's special!) and again the staff were so friendly and lovely. We absolutely loved our breakfast in the orangery, it's a beautiful space and the food was delicious. The whole hotel and grounds are really very beautiful and it's a real treat to stay here, can't wait to go back!
