O Hotel tem uma localização excelente. Fica a 2 minutos a pé de Rådhuspladsen (Praça da Câmara Municipal) e da Strøget, o conjunto de ruas comerciais do centro de Copenhaga. A estação de metro existente na Rådhuspladsen proporciona uma fácil e rápida ligação de e para o aeroporto. A centralidade do Wide Hotel faz com que possamos fazer a pé as deslocações a muitas das atrações da cidade. Para as mais afastadas pode optar por utilizar o metro ou então alugar uma bicicleta no hotel (Copenhaga é uma cidade excelente para os fãs de duas rodas). Achei o hotel muito confortável e sossegado, possibilitando um sono tranquilo e reparador. Os quartos base são de pequena dimensão mas mesmo assim funcionais para uma estada de alguns dias. O pequeno almoço oferece uma opção de itens quentes e frios que considerámos justa, mas, sinceramente, esperávamos mais para um hotel de quatro estrelas. Os funcionários são simpáticos e profissionais. O Wi-Fi funciona na perfeição. Existe ainda a possibilidade de se guardar a bagagem depois do check-out, caso o voo saia em horário mais tardio. O Wide Hotel apresenta uma relação preço/qualidade muito boa numa cidade extremamente cara. Apesar de considerarmos que o hotel tem argumentos mais que suficientes para uma estada muito agradável, existem alguns pontos que francamente não gostamos. A casa de banho do quarto é verdadeiramente pequena. Claustrofobica e com pouca privacidade pois apresenta apenas uma porta de correr sem fecho. Lavatório igualmente minúsculo e muito pouco funcional. Falta toalha para os pés quando se sai da box do chuveiro tendo que se utilizar uma das toalhas de mãos. Os sítios para arrumação existente no quarto pareceram-nos francamente insuficiente. Existe apenas um suporte para colocação da bagagem. Ora sendo um quarto para 2 pessoas (e sendo o suporte montável) deveriam existir dois. Mesas de cabeceira mínimas sem qualquer espaço de arrumação. Existe máquina de café, mas este não está incluído sendo pago à parte (e caro!), o que num hotel desta categoria não faz qualquer sentido e é pouco simpático. Outro ponto negativo, mas este mais no contexto actual em que vivemos devido à Pandemia de Covid-19, é o número elevado de hóspedes ao pequeno almoço a compartilhar o espaço de refeição sem qualquer medida de prevenção nem de proteção , nomeadamente ao fim-de-semana (até porque o Wide Hotel partilha todos os serviços com o Ascot Hotel). Aliás em Copenhaga, assim como em toda a Dinamarca, neste momento (Outubro 2021) não existem qualquer restrições/obrigatoriedade no que respeita a medidas para prevenção/proteção da pandemia Covid-19, ficando ao critério de cada um.

Spacious room with beverage facilities. Lovely big comfy bed and super comfy pillows. Nice rain shower. Friendly staff. Great service to store luggage. Would highly recommend as it’s so conveniently placed for getting around.

Superb Hotel

We stayed at this centrally located hotel for three days at the start of March . The hotel itself is in a fantastic location and been relatively new , the rooms are spotlessly clean with great Décor. Beds are extremely comfortable and a nice powerful hot shower. The bar is a particular highlight with a nice atmosphere and a great team . We had breakfast included in our stay and it was fantastic.. Nice hot cooked breakfast or continental style. If you a coming from an English speaking country and you want to relax watching TV after a day exploring Copenhagen, then make sure you have Netflix or similar as there are no English channels, but you can cast from your phone to the TV. The only issue we had was a slightly cold welcome from the lady behind the desk when we arrived. We did arrive early and we asked what time the room was ready we were told 3pm which was fine . We went exploring and came back just before 3pm and asked was the room ready and just got a one word response which was "No" . We told her we would sit down in front of the desk and wait so we did and we waited and we waited and eventually I asked a young guy behind the counter who said " oh yes , it's ready" . Now this is only a small issue but we were sitting ten feet from the desk and the room was obviously ready , but she never mentioned it to us once. Slight annoyance that I had to ask , but would have been nice. All in all a superb hotel and stay and the reception was the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. Couple of things to note when you get in to Copenhagen airport- take the train rather than the metro , it's only two stops for the same price and it's a 5 minute walk to the hotel from Copenhagen Central. Public transport is clean and bang on time- every time . Get on the hop on - hop off bus and include the boat trip with it as well . The ticket lasts a few days and we did the bus tour one day and the boat tour the second day . From the bus , you will get a great idea of the city and the hotspots like Nyhaven etc . Get off and explore at your leisure and hop back on when your done . It's a small city, so you will get your bearings easily after a couple of days . Also , we got the train into Malmö which takes about 40 minutes and costs about €20 return and it was a really good day out with lots to see and a couple of great places to eat. Tivoli gardens and carlsberg factory are tourist hotspots and worth a visit, but check availability before you go. The castle is a nice couple of hours out with the treasury section really good. Museums are enjoyable , but natural history museum is only a photographic experience at the moment. Copenhagen is expensive to eat and drink , so factor this in . Your looking at about €200 a day at least for a couple , but you will have a great few days.

The hotel was clean and location was fairly centred. The reception was not the most welcoming. The room was very clean and comfortable beds . Breakfast was sufficient and offered a variety of options . We found this motel to be quiet when in ur room

Lovely hotel. Very clean. Very nice rooms with good facilities. Loved the balcony. Hotel decorated very tastefully. Ideal location. Didn’t eat in hotel as breakfast a little expensive so can’t comment on the food. Easy to get to hotel from train. Would recommend.
